Could be a legit 6'10 who plays through contact well, has midrange game, had a crazy 2.1 blocks which was 7th in the GLeague, also passed and stole a bit. I'm guessing the big knock on him is the .273 3P%, .679 FT%. "Will he learn to shoot" seems like the question with most of the lottery. He at least upped it to .769 FT in 9 GLeague Showcase games, and .603 from 2pt range, although his 3s got even worse.

If he's another player who's best going to the basket, maybe that overlaps with Scottie and RJ even more. But I like getting a big 3/4 with potential to stretch it out. Also like Salaun if he makes it to 19. Yearning for vision 6'9" again lol

I'm higher on him than I've seen from other posters around here. Or atleast I'm not out on him and can see the appeal

I got him #1, but there's a good chance he returns to school so people aren't talking about him a lot as they don't want to hype a guy who goes back.

He seems to be very good to elite at everything for a wing except outside shooting where he's pretty bad. He played a lot of PF and C as an undersized 6'7 guy who ended up posting excellent assist numbers, low turnovers, very good rebounding numbers, and excellent rim and post shot fg%, as well as drawing a lot of fouls, but only shooting 65% from the line. Also a lot of steals and blocks and projects as both a good team and individual defender who can guard a lot of positions.
Some see him as an undersized big, but as one of the youngest players in the draft (if he enters) with an advanced feel for the game I hope he can develop his shot(form looks fine) and then you have a potential superstar on your hands.

He went 1/8 on jump shots the whole season including 0/5 from 3, so if the shot doesn't come around you have to wonder how he fits. Perhaps a better passing and defending Rondae Hollis Jefferson.

Checked his highlights/footage, he'll be a defensive studd. Can stay infront of anyone on the switch. Didn't see him shoot tho lol. Solid. He should go back

When I think about it he definitely should declare. He had the added benefit of playing with 2 5th year seniors who could shoot well and a redshirt junior (who will be back I believe) and put up incredible stats. If he improves his shot then he's in the running for first overall next season, but if he doesn't he goes from probable lottery pick to a guy who couldn't improve his shooting after working on it for a year, is no longer one of the youngest guys in the draft, and even if the rest of his game improves his stats may not due to playing with worse spacing. That means he would probably be a 2nd rounder in a stronger draft instead of a 1st rounder (some mocks in March had him going around 10th) in a weaker draft.
I understand he's dating one the USC's national champion freshman basketball players, but he shouldn't let that affect his decision.

He's got the prototype physical attributes and athleticism for a wing, he's got an incredible motor on defense, and a well-rounded, albeit unrefined, offensive package.

Yep.

Something tells me that by the time the combine rolls around and drills and all that, Holland will end up in the Top 5.

I'm hoping that isn't the case though, or that we can move up high enough in the draft to take him. He's by no means a finished product... I think he'll take a few years to come around but as you said - he's the closest thing to a complete package available at that part in the draft.

I like Dillingham as well... I think he's going to be a stud like Maxey but since we already have Quickley, it doesn't make much sense taking him. The Spurs should though, perhaps even over Topic.

I also forgot to add he's one of the youngest players in the draft. At 18.8 he's only a month older than Salaun and Topic (18.7), and 5 months older than Chomche (18.3). His development curve still has a lot of runway. He has Jaylen Brown type of upside imo. By comparison Brown was aged 19.7 entering his draft year.

Yeah. I find Buzelis to be a more intriguing prospect than Holland.

Maybe there is something that I am missing with Holland that others are seeing.

Matas Buzelis is also on my list of must haves.

Buzelis was a good shooter in high school. Adjusting to the NBA line as a teenager is not easy. More concerning are low rebound, low FTr for a big. He projects as a role player to me. Like Castle, you take that guy a little further down in the draft.

Matas Buzelis is a Masai type pick, I expect he will be selected if we keep the pick and he is still on the board. Masai is crazy for guys with size and wingspan, the fact that Buzelis is a forward (main position of need right now) and shows signs of being a future 3+D wing probably seals it.

Does the G league still have the one free throw for 2 pts rule? That affects FTr a lot.

As they should. Dude is going to be a solid NBA role player at the very least.

too bad he won't be there. there's already a massive shortage of 3&D guys in this draft. I won't be surprised if Carter goes as a high as 10. his stock will probably rise a ton during the combine.

I agree with you man. Completely.

I agree that Carter is likely gone by 19, but disagree that there is a shortage of 3&D guys (also, Carter is more than a 3&D guard). There are a ton of intriguing 3&D wings in this draft (Watkins, Isaiah Crawford, Tyon Grant-Foster, Nique Clifford, Alex Karaban, Mccullar, Pelle Larsson, Harrison Ingram, Keshad Johnson, Trevon Brazile, etc.)

My semi-realistic dream draft:

6) Holland
19) Carter
31) Holmes
UDFA: Isaiah Crawford / Jalen Bridges

Barnes - Holmes
Holland - Agbaji - Crawford
Poeltl - Olynyk
Barrett - Dick
Quickley - Carter

I did a little more digging on Holland. There is something about Holland's skill set that reminds me of Wiggins . A little less bouncier than wiggins, but a better motor. Similar handles. Similar shooting. Wiggins probably has better length.

I can see what people like. He's one of the few possible high upside prospects in this draft. He's all motor and athleticism. Lacks composure at this point.

I would love this.

As an aside, I can't help but notice that Brown, GTJ an Nwora don't even figure into the rotation.

Could you add an additional contributor in FA?

Claxton, Melton and even Monk seem like fits.

The more and more I look into this draft the more I see so many Anthony Bennett's. If we don't get top 6 I won't be sweating it at all. You have a higher chance hitting a landmine than striking gold.

Oladipo was an excellent player.
I trust our front office to select a contributor.

I would add Jalen Smith to the list if I included free agents, which would probably mean not exercising Brown's option. Melton would be a nice add, though he is kind of similar to Carter so he'd either take minutes from him at PG or Dick at SG. My concern would be being able to get the young guys minutes and having their value going stale like Moody and Kuminga were for a while with the Warriors.

Barnes - Smith - Holmes
Holland - Agbaji - Crawford
Poeltl - Olynyk
Barrett - Dick
Quickley - Melton - Carter
