Masai mentioned it but I think we have to get a centre prospect out of either 19 or 31.

I don’t know man, I think at this point we need to go with high value role player types at both picks. Build the squad overall, but keep the team young enough to be bad enough for a good pick next year.

I’m talking about guys with 8+ BPM who don’t always do things that show up statistically but are advanced stat darlings. The Lowry archetype.

Devin Carter
Tyler Kolek
Jared McCain
DaRon Holmes
Baylor Scheierman
Oso Ighodaro
Jamal Shead
Cam Spencer
Antonio Reeves (7 bpm but he’s really good)

If we were to luck out of this draft with a combination of Carter/Kolek/McCain and Holmes/Ighodaro/Reeves I will die a happy man.

At 19, I think there are a few good point guards in play (Carter, Collier, McCain) but there are also a few bigs in there too (Filip, Missi, Edey, Smith, Holmes). I like Holmes and Smith as our future PF (play next to Barnes).

At 31, its probably going to be a wing (Dunn, Jones, Tyson, Sallis, Ajinca all projected between 31-40).

At #31, I think wing is the easiest to fill. Could just wait and sign undrafted players.

PG's in the range, Kolek and Carrington, likely drafted before then. KJ Simpson is really the only one that can shoot the 3 well. Nunez, Newton and Shead would make choices for players likely to only be backup PG's like Tre Jones. KJ could be like a Tyus Jones or even a Jalen Brunson early 2nd round pick.

Carrington and Chomche or Chomche and KJ if Carrington moves up ahead of #19.

I like the list above, but worry about Kolek sticking given size, defence and athleticism concerns and am just not a fan of Oso at all. Other than that - solid.

Some of my favourites: Jamir Watkins had a BPM of 9.1, Alex Karaban 9.2, Mogbo 11.1. Nique Clifford just missed the cut at 8.9, and Tyon Grant-Foster at 7.7.

If we still had 6 sure but none of the bigs look like they got enough potential to use our only 1st on

Lots of interesting names in our range.

Devin Carter
Tristan da Silva
Kyshawn George
Jaylon Tyson
Pacome Dadiet

Of course, once we start talking about them, we inevitably go with someone else. I don't make the rules.

I don't see Nikola Djurisic in many mocks. Is he not confirmed? Or did he withdraw already?

Furphy at 19 would be intriguing. I think he's a better shooter than the 35% he shot in college and this team really needs positional size again. Also a good fit in our point 5 offense.

He fell off and I thought he's going back to school? Not sure if Scottie has enough gravity to have a Furphy or Klintman. They are like Rich Man's Yuta Watanabe.

He was really good midseason but not finishing as well down the stretch of the season is why he could be available at 19. He was trending into a top 5 pick at one point. Where did you see he's going back to school? He entered the draft and I don't really see why he wouldn't stay in such a weak draft.

Much better measurements for Karaban than I was expecting. AJ Johnson coming in a lot shorter though at 6'4.25.
