Edey seems like JV/Kanter 2.0

Which is great value in the lottery.

He’s not even close to those guys.

He might have played himself out of the first round. He literally only scores because of his size. That last look was horrible.

This game will have no bearing on anything. He was never going in the 1st round for the very obvious weaknesses he’s had for years now (years that he’s also spent as the best player in the NCAA because of how bad most of these kids are at exploring those weaknesses).

My issue isn’t really Edey at this point. He was stellar at the start of the game and the only offensive option this team has going for them. He’s exhausted out there and just can’t keep up with Uconn’s speed.

I think what bothers me is his teammates are absolutely useless and can’t create shots for themselves. Instead they just feed Edey the ball and watch. That’s also on the coach who can’t draw up any other play but “pass the ball to the big”. Reminds me of the Fresh Prince episode where the coach was like “just pass the ball to Will”

It’s pretty shocking how Purdue went into this finals so unprepared and no backup plan.

Edey isn't going to get these type of looks in the NBA.

He's doing most of his damage when Clingan has been on the bench who is looking like a Andrew Bogut clone.

Clingan has a shot to be an impact defensive player in the NBA. I’d draft him and hope you can also get some offense out of him.

Edey too slow, but I still think some team will take him I’m first round , but I hope not us, he made Poeltl look very quick

They aren’t usually this useless because basically every team in the country has to double Edey all game just to stop him from scoring 50. UConn didn’t have to do that because they have Clingan (and also far better athletes all over the court).

They were physically outmatched. Not much you can run when you can't beat anyone off the dribble and they couldn't attack close outs either when the ball did get kicked out.
