Bosh to Miami Rumour Thread (Update pg 44)

Post#1 » by Rhettmatic » Wed Jun 30, 2010 2:28 pm

Just a Florida radio host, no idea if this is true. Probably just another rumour. But I figured someone was going to post it, so suppose it may as well be me...

LeBatardShow
I hear bosh-miami is done ..bosh-wade shared agent avoids tampering...its why beasley, chalmers, anthony still here...raptors get them

http://twitter.com/LeBatardShow/status/17417534999

He added this soon after:

agree in principle...process plays out...pat riley got scorched on juwan howard but wade and bosh are just dealing with their agent

And Bruce Arthur's response after retweeting the report:

bruce_arthur
If that's true — Bosh sign-and-trade to Miami for Beasley, Chalmers, Anthony — I'd rather have the trade exception, thanks.

This is actually helping Miami even more than just sending them Bosh. Boo, freaking, urns. Who knows what the actual deal will be though.

Ohh, I was thinking a scrub like Joel Anthony would be fine to play alongside Bosh up front. Handle toughness and rebounding.

Yeah, hopefully there are some pick (s?) coming back, but regardless, I'd still easily take it. Better than Deng or Lee anyway. And yes, I'd rather have them then some TPE.

As a team desperately in need of talent after Bosh is gone, I have no problems taking back and rolling the dice with a 21-year-old Beasley. Screw positions for now, and just be happy with accumulating assets. With a group of other young players here, he'll hopefully fit in well.

Chalmers hasn't lit it up in the league, but he's only 24 and still has some upside to him. And he could definitely be good enough in a tandem with hopefully Jack, but at worst, Jose.

And Anthony would give us a capable big behind Bargs while Alabi develops.

Sprinkle a pick or two in there, and that's as good a package as we could hope for at this point.

Riley won't allow it. We shouldn't have traded it in the first place. Now he can rub it in BC's face how he completely robbed our franchise.

I firmly believe Bosh and James are going to Miami, but I also believe we won't take Anthony and Beasley. Why would we want 2 more pf's? That would leave us with Beas, Anthony, Davis, Bargnani, Evans...... I could see us getting our pick back, Miami's 1st, Chalmers and cash.

we would still have about an 8 mill trade exception from that? i'm not sure of the cap holds on chalmers and JA, but i budgeted 2 and 1 respectively.

what is realgm's BFF Doug Smith going to do after stating unequivocally yesterday that Beasley aint coming here? :wavefinger:

Very underwhelming package though.

Chalmers is a good value backup at least, so hopefully if this is true one of Jose or Jack is outta here asap.

Eh, if this is true it's not that great. Beasley...ok, but the other two without a pick? It wouldn't be so bad if we got our pick back.

They clearly don't know all the details. Nothing can be announced.

Rumoured deals rarely talk about picks because no one knows what is included until the very end.

You must be kidding. You would rather that than Lee or Deng? Those two are far more productive then Beasley or Chalmers.

Dougie knew all along that we'd get Beasley. I don't know what you're talking about.

I think this is what we're all hoping on. Maybe Bosh plus another player is outta here or just Bosh but the pick information wasn't included in the details. As mentioned that package isn't great, our pick would make it somewhat acceptable but still...barely.

The Raps would more than likely have some other deal lined up for all of the expiring's, right? Evans, Banks, Belinelli, Chalmers (unless he and Jack or Jose are staying)...what's Anthony's deal?
