Well, we're fifth. It sucks. Let's discuss our options.

Here are the other threads:

And the rules:

All thoughts on 2011 draft prospects and potential Raptors picks can go in this thread. After the draft lottery, it'll also be home to all mock-draft discussion and other fun.

Did Kyrie Irving have a sick crossover? Post it here. Did Jan Vesely drop 27 points on Crvena zvezda? Discuss it here. Are you having panic attacks because the Raptors just hired Donatas Motiejunas's father as their head scout? Seek medical help here.

We've got a few links here to NBA draft websites but please feel free to post more or PM a mod if you want more added.

Enjoy!

I think it was more about Vucevic than Kanter imo.

It's not enough to just die, you have to die trying.

At least you've got the long weekend to get started.

the more I think about it the more it makes sense, swap picks with the Utah Jazz if they want Brandon Knight.

it's good for them because they get him cheaper as Cleveland won't take another point guard at 4, we could even throw in something to sweeten the deal if we had to.

Its good for us because we get Kanter with the 3rd pick and can hopefully develop him as a center and be helped right away.

If they are going to take Kanter then ignore them and we get to pick between one of Knight and Walker.

Don't let Cleveland take Irving and Kanter... they don't deserve that.

Don't worry bro. Kemba will take us to the promised land.

Bryan already said that we don't need an impact player right away and would prefer a player with high potential.
Which basically means we'll take Knight if he's available at 5.

How impactful would Knight be? He is known to be a better defender, but how much better would he be than Bayless on defensive end and offensive end?

I would prefer Walker if Kanter and Irving are not available, because he gives us different ability as compare to Bayless and DeRozan.

I just realized... if the clippers had kept their pick they would have Griffin and Irving moving into the future.
Yikes.

WolstatSun Ryan Wolstat
Tristan Thompson mentioned the #Raptors as a team that has asked him to come in for a workout.

Haven't watched much of TT play, does he have any chance of playing SF in the long run? Otherwise I see him as being extremely redundant

If that's his train of thought it could be Knight, Val or Biyombo.

I hope the raps get kemba walker. imo he's the only one available that has star potential. Raptors need a guy that can just take over a game and kemba is that guy. Plus according to draft express his measurements were actually pretty good. 6'1 in shoes and 6'3.5 wingspan. Nearly identical to Chris Paul
and Mike Conley and those guys turned out pretty well.

Hmm, Davis vs Thompson? Davis is taller, while Thompson has a better wingspan.

The quotes around taking a guy who will take some time to develop and has high potential is definitely not in reference to Knight.

I would put money on that reference referring to Val or another euro.

Kemba is pretty much already at his potential.
He's 21 and there are still doubts about him.

But in all seriousness...
Do these analysts seriously think we are going to take Valuncinous or whatever his name is?
I can't imagine us taking him...
