i wonder if the centre circle isn't so big so that all the players can stand in it during the tip off?

based on previous courts, i'd wager the extra thick black outline is on the outside of what's required.

like Yogi says, the thick outlines look childish. the claw looks best with gradients/ implied lighting not flat shaded & outlined. the pics in today's dailies show what i mean:

Not a fan of the baseline.
It looked cool for a second, but that's about it. It's way too distracting. It might work in football where the field is bigger, but on the basketball court, it's just too prominent.

And I can't imagine how annoying it is for the players for them to have to look at that mess from their perspective. Instead of seeing their own name on their own court, they see this puke of a mess on the ground.

And oh yes, they don't have this on 2K12. I try to make the game as realistic as possible, so now the court in the game is off. Thumbs down!

i jsut saw it online it looks pretty hot, as long as its not distractign to the players more arenas should adopt it

I'm going with good even though I think it's ugly and distracting. However this is going to be a long year even with fewer games. We need stuff to talk about other than how useless Jose etc. is.

Devlin mentioned the Raps were the first team in North America to do it. Now we know why no one else does it. Pointless. A tv audience doesn't need painted trickery. We already have all kinds of graphics splashed all over the screen.

When the players walked up and down the fake 3D baseline text, I thought immediately of this:

I do appreciate the rest of the court change, simply for the fact that the old design was so depressingly boring. Couldn't have gotten worse.

I like it alot. They really couldn't have made it any worse than last years where the only color we had was the Raptor claw and the sides of the key.

How in the world is the 3D sign going to distract players?

They have had those in Soccer stadiums, F1 Tracks, Cricket fields etc for decades and it has never bothered anyone.

They need to add some color to the out of bounds. Our 06-07 court was fine with the red baseline. Don't know why they changed it.

this. the 06-07 court was perfect if you refit the centre logo with the claw design they have now imo.
