He probably has a speech impediment of some sort.

But when I watched the Kentucky Vs. Louisville smackdown talk, he seems to talk more comfortable. But yea when he gets nervous in interview, his speech impediment mode kicks in.

6:58 - MKG comes in.

Saw an interesting post on the last draft thread - does anyone think that Brad Beal could be a starting PG? I really don't know his game enough, but is that a long term possibility? Could he be a Steph Curry with more size?

By the way, I'm not surprised that this thread is already at 400+ pages. It's the most interesting daily thread we have - if there's no news I pretty much look at it every day.

Nope, I only see him as a 2. His ball-handling is so so but he's best at the 2 because he's such a good spot-up shooter, or pull up etc. He can pass but I can't see him having the ball in his hand the entire time running plays for others. He's just like Eric Gordon and can you imagine Gordon being the point?

Agree. Beal is closer to a 3 than a 1. I see him standing around a lot on offense, drifting towards the corner. He disappears for halves, even games, he's not going to run the point. He'll be a 2. I like his potential as a good 3rd option who can defend and board a bit, and I would prefer him to Demar, but I wouldn't take him in the top half of the lotto.

If we end up slipping I would really like MKG. He's got a fiery demeanor to him and works hard

Tier 1 - Looks like a surefire all-star
1. Anthony Davis

Tier 2 - All-star talent
2. Meyers Leonard
3. Andre Drummond
4. Jeremy Lamb

Tier 3: David West all-star potential
5. Thomas Robinson
6. Jared Sullinger
7. Arnett Moultrie

Tier 4: Good starters:
8. John Henson
9. Perry Jones III
10. Harrison Barnes

Might be more in the last group but I'm not ranking past 10
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

MKG was my favorite prospect coming out of High School....

But I have not liked what i've seen from him at Kentucky. His shooting is a major red flag for
me considering we have DeRozan as a wing already. We desperately neeed a scorer and I don't
see MKG being a big time scorer at the next level. I love his speed but at times he can
be wreckless. He also seems smaller then what hes listed. His skillset is not what we need
from the SF spot the way were constructed.

If he we have a pick between 7-10 and he slips then I'd consider him

whether or not DeRozan is here, and the way we're constructed, should have no bearing on whether we draft MKG (or Lamb, Barnes, or anyone else in this draft). If we feel he's the BPA, then we take him and try to look for a SG upgrade through free agency (Gordon? JR Smith? Mayo?) or trades. Having Bargs here isn't going to stop us drafting a PF if they're the BPA, so DeMar should definitely have no impact on our selection.

Agree, we are not absolutely sure if we're going to keep Demar long term. Imagine Harden/MKG 8-)

MKG was also my 2nd favorite behind barnes prior to this season. He isn't really as raw as you think offensively, he is 18 so there's still lots of room to develop. He has some decent moves that he can use to attack to the rim, but he hasn't really polish those moves yet. His shooting won't be perfect but he excels in all other areas which I find very intriguing. Though I don't think he's top 4 material but he is definitely 5-10. If we get him at that range, I'll certainly be happy.

Here's how I feel (based on where they'll play in the NBA)

C

1)Drummond
2)Leonard
3)Tyler Zeller

PF

1) Anthony Davis
2) Jared Sullinger
3) Perry Jones III

SF

1) H. Barnes
2) Jeff Taylor
3) Q. Miller

SG

1) MKG
2) Jeremy Lamb
3) Brad Beal

PG

1) Austin Rivers
2) Kendall Marshall
3) Jordan Taylor

The guys I think have a strong shot at busting are Drummond, Leonard, Rivers, Marshall. The guys I think are for sure all-stars are Davis, MKG, Barnes.
