We already have a loose collection of young talent and scorers on this team with no cohesive glue to pull it together. I think adding a Marshall to this team just makes everyone better and and that's something we desperately need.
Yeah, there are definite faults, but the D issue isn't a concern with Casey at the helm (that's why we hired him right?) and he showed in College that he can score enough.
Perhaps if he was from Spain and named Kendally Marshallio people would be more excited.

I'm happy if some people say he looks like a role player, in this case the role is the pg so we're talking about some rare stuff.
I don't care if he can't score, Jason Kidd has learned to shoot at 31.
I don't wanna a player who meanwhile Jonas does a good movement of the ball thinks how he can scores instead to find the open man.
KM lacks athtletism, but he has size.
I'd risk for a first pass pg instead to risk for a scorer of the bench who as we all known we can find it with a 2nd round pick.
One year watching Josè and learning his pull up jumper on the p&r abilities and next year we'll have an Calderon/Kidd hybryd to guide our core.

Didn't mean to insult Andre Miller and Mark Jackson is high level role players better?
Actually you can compare Marshall to Calderon a bit...
Not great scorers, not good athletes, not good defenders, great passers, unselfsih....
I also think this teams desperately needs a 3rd scorer and there are players in this draft
range that have a way higher upside then Marshall.
In a league loaded with good PGs he will never be an All-Star and anybody will have a hard
time arguing hes gonna be a top 15 PG (half the league) with absolute certainty.
Not a guy im ever remotely considering right now plus hes coming off a broken wrist
hes not a scrub he just will never be a star or a defensive stopper I'd say the odds
we draft him are next to none.

First of all, I'm not concerned with if he'll ever an all-star. I really don't care about that at all. I just want a good player who'll make us a better team and I think he will.
All the criticism is fair though, I've already conceded that. He's not a slam-dunk, but this is the position we're in now. I'd much rather grab him than some of the other guys out there like Lillard, PJ3 or T. Jones. Lamb I wouldn't be upset by though, if we went in that direction.
I can definitely see the comparison to Jose though, except I don't think Kendall's as conservative in his game. He's willing to push it, when it's there and he's just more creative overall. And I just think a commodity such as Marshall is a lot rarer in today's game and that's worth obtaining. And the potential to fix his faults and improve his D/shot is a lot higher than some of these other guards growing their basketball IQ.
Also grabbing a 3rd scorer is easy. It's a need that could be added via FA/trade if needed. There are brainless scorers upon scorers in this league. Hell, Alan f'n Anderson turned into an okay scorer for us and we grabbed him off the D-League.
Overall, I think Bargs/Val/DD will be that 'big 3' core as it stands going into next season, and putting them in better positions to score is something we should want to see.
