Their isn't any dilemma with demar. We have a sg on a rookie contract who''s shown flashes of being a productive nba starter. Wheres the problem in that. He's better than some of the names ya'all are tossing out. A big pro in his favour is his durability too so I have no problem with demar ri now and look fwd to his yrs ahead. Way more worried about who we are going to get to play beside our sg rather than our sg.

I should have made it more clear. I meant 8-9 million would be the kind of contract he would get when he is renewed (even if he averages 19-5-3 in 2012-13 which is a reach for a 1-year improvement but more along the lines of the top of what I see his production as after he receives that 8-9 million contract). He'll get around 10-12 if he puts that up next year but like I said, I see those numbers as his plateau, not his immediate future. And it's unlikely that DeRozan himself brings us to the playoffs. If this team makes it next year, it wil most likely be on the back of Steve Nash making everyone look good or a collaborative effort from Valanciunas, Bargnani, our SF next year, DeMar, and whoever we sign to play PG next year all sharing an equal load kind of like Atlanta. I just hope we don't decide to pay DeRozan the kind of money Joe Johnson got when clearly, neither player is worth the max.

Demar reminds me of that type of player that thinks he's better than he really is. He needs to accept the fact that he will likely just be a solid player and not an all star. Maybe like a Deng type player or supporting role. Thats why we need at least 1 legit star player where the others can fall into place in the pecking order on this roster.

lol lol. how does derozan have fanbois? he's a career 21% 3-pt shooter that doesn't rebound, playmake or defend competently. some of you guys flat-out don't know what you're watching.

No dilemma here, he's been here 3 yrs so what you see is what you get. Flip him to say Hou, Mil, etc.. before his contract is up.
