At this point I'm looking at Nerlens Noel and I'm not sure what separates him from a guy like Larry Sanders. I haven't seen Nerlens play, but from what I hear he's all defense with limited offense. Has anyone seen him play enough to change my opinion?

I'm not too familiar with Noel either, but one thing to keep in mind though is that he is extremely young, as in he's literally 18 through this season. He does have Tyson Chandler upside though.

we're not picking in the top 3 so I would focus your attention on players in the 15-18 range and our 2nd rounders. We're not that bad and once the schedule eases up and we have more home games you can kiss that top 3 goodbye.

That is a 2014 pick.

He's very athletic with a quick jump that allows him to get blocks in bunches. I think that'll allow him to transition to the NBA defensively easier than other big man who were once dominant defenders in college but scrubs at the next level. He doesn't have much of an offensive game but he can at least finish around the rim.

Sounds about right. Alex Len from Maryland torched him though.

Let's stay away from Cody Zeller if we end up 1-3 ! Thanks

Too early to tell for sure. I have a feeling Zeller isn't even coming out this year.

IMO if we do pick within the top 3, there's no way we'd let 'Bazz fall.

Who cares? He's overrated garbage.

This draft is definitely one I don't mind losing a pick outside the top 3.

I want to get this pick off our back...but most important is we need to be in the top 7 next year.

I put him as a distant 3rd but I won't lie that kid is looking like he can straight up ball....I could definitely see myself eating some mini-crow (since I only said it a couple weeks into the season and 3rd overall is not a big insult) lol and him maybe even working his way to top 2 (heck maybe even #1 overall :o )

No top shelf prospects. Only Shabazz, Alex Poythress and Tony Mitchell are interesting. Nerlens has no ball IQ at all.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

I still have Noel and Shabazz above Goodwin, but I'd say those are my top 3. Of course, I'm going on projections as opposed to current production. I can see Zeller being one of those those David West types who get the job done but will never be a guy who leads you to a championship. Then again, there may not be that guy in this draft. I mean, Shabazz was compared to Harden who's VERY good, but is still not a #1 guy.

Some scouts are saying this is the worst draft since, arg, 2006, and are advising whoever gets the top pick should trade it. How funny if we win the lottery.

Trey Burke has been gaining some steam. Might be the Jeremy Lamb of the draft of players who decided to come back and see their stock shoot up.

The only pick I like is potential CJ McCallum. Damien Lillard upside middle of the first round. I like Lowry, but we need to looking at him as a asset we can move for youth.
