Those of you that says its a foul must be one of those annoying players who calls every touch fouls in the game. It was clearly a block, what happens after the block was caused by the momentum of KD. KD didn't even complain

EXCEPT MANU. NOTICE HE DOESNT FOLLOW THROUGH DOWNWARDS ONTO DURANT'S ARM.

Got him on the hand after so it was definitely a foul. No such thing as incidental contact.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. Both blocks in this thread are blocks. The contact in both is incidental.

Okafor got ball, Durant's momentum created the arm contact as he pushed through for the dunk. No foul

he didn't "get" the ball, he altered it at first and Durant was STILL palming it.

Instead of stopping it head on, he changed it's course of direction while Durant was still controlling it. His follow through was swatting it down on Durant's wrist..THAT part was a foul. It wouldn't have been a foul if Okafor kept his hands straight up in the air.

Ignore everything before the moment of the screenshot that i took. The sequence of events is: 1) ball in Durant's hands 2) Okafor hits Durant's wrists downwards and gets no ball

It doesn't get any simpler than that.

Here you go, since you seem to be leading the crusade of this being a foul.

1. Incidental Contact
The mere fact that contact occurs does not necessarily constitute a foul. Contact which is incidental to an effort by a player to play an opponent, reach a loose ball, or perform normal defensive or offensive movements, should not be consid-ered illegal. If, however, a player attempts to play an opponent from a position where he has no reasonable chance to perform without making contact with his opponent, the responsibility is on the player in this position.

The hand is considered "part of the ball" when it is in contact with the ball. Therefore, contact on that hand by a defender while it is in contact with the ball is not illegal.

This is incidental contact my friend - I've never known a human being to recoil his arm when it's halfway through a motion. It'd be incredibly difficult, and for one to expect this incidental contact to not occur needs to go speak to Sir Newton.

I think the last 2 are the closest I could find relevant to this situation.
Still looking for a better video example.

However - its it a block all the contact after is incidental. otherwise the block stats for everyone would be down 75%!
