I think it's more likely to be J-Smoove or Brook Lopez.

Oh yeah, Lopez for sure this year.

This is big for Toronro but Boston's roster could see someone step up and take his place too, the very likely case here.

Lopez, for sure. Stern gets to choose and he'll want a Net. Good thing Brook deserves it.

this makes our 4th quarter collapses hurt all the moreso.

8th place is ripe for the taking. win 3-4 of those games that we blew and we'd literally have 8th wrapped up.

I assume that BOS is more likely to blow it up than trade to patch over holes.

Ronda needs to play with bubble wrap.

I just felt sad for Pierce. It was apparent he didn't know how serious Rondo's injury was until Doris Burke brought it up

The entire team didn't know, Rondo and Doc were going to tell them in the locker room after the game. Pretty classless by Burke to try and grab the first reaction to it when she was the one reporting that Doc and Rondo wanted to wait. Total dick move.

The playoffs were lost a long time ago.

Boston without Rondo is still a better team than the Raptors. To think that we're somehow going to magically go on a run while all the other teams above us start losing is just fantasy. And the Raps lost to the Cavaliers and Kings at home, among numerous other games. They don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

in that case, Calderon would be perfect for them since he is an expiring contract.

Feel bad for Celts fans, but it should be good news for Raps fans - makes it easier for some Raps players to finally get the taste of playoffs...
Lets hope that BC manages to pull in a playoffs favorable trade before deadline.

Yeah that was kind of sneaky her, but no harm done really at least it was after the game and she only told one player.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

then looks like it's time to find a 3rd team, maybe a 4th team.

ACL usually means a minimum of 10 months, usually a year or more. So this impacts this season AND next for them. I'd imagine they'll see how things go with SGs playing the point off Pierce and KG for the next few weeks and see if they can stay a little ahead of the rest. If so, maybe they ride it out. If not, maybe deal for a stopgap if they're just a bit short, or start blowing it up otherwise.

Gutsy win today, and it wasn't even in response to the news. They're vet savvy enough that they might tough it out, but this opens the door wide open and makes the next 3 weeks very interesting for us.
