Fire Dwane Casey Thread
This guy has to go, I can't even believe what I'm watching more than half the time.
-Refusal to play JV & Ross, this is seriously mind boggling. Unbelievable.
-Infatuation with scrubs. Gray & Anderson.
-Horrid rotations + substitutions. Sits players when they should be playing, rides players for too long when they should be sitting.
-No creativity on offense.
-Role players jacking up shots at inopportune times.
-Atrocious out of bounds/out of timeouts play calls. I've never seen a team this bad.
-Has no feel for the game. He's so stiff and robotic gets frequently out coached with no answers.
I've never been one to care too much about coaches as I believe their impact is overrated but with this guy its up to the point where he is clearly jeopardizing games on a nightly basis. I can't even fathom his refusal to play and develop young guys, especially on a 17-32 team. I cannot get past playing Alan Anderson and Aaron Gray over Ross and JV.
I like the way he seems to keep the team motivated and ready to give effort on a nightly basis but thats about it as far as positives go.

By far the dumbest coach in history! Most of our losses are cuz of him like today. Ull see Caseys interview with the same lines "our problem was we didn't get stops..." NO OUR PROBLEM IS YOU! JUST GTFO!

He's just another stop-gap coach that Colangelo will use once again use to attribute a load of the blame to for this team's failures

Let's hire someone from the Spurs organization. At least there is a higher chance that that person will be somewhat competent.
Looking for a new signature. Currently, still evaluating.

In a few weeks BC will blame the teams lack of talent, and wins on Casey and fire him, to save face...

I hate his rotations.
I hate his timeout plays
I hate his use of scrubs over younger players
I hate his play calls in the 4th
I hate his struggle goatee
I hate his suits

Re: Fire Dwane Casey Thread
Getting Gay, our only legit SF in a trade, then using him instead of Amir/Bargs to guard KG while Anderson guards PP...well I've tried to defend Casey somewhat in terms of his preparation skills..but in-game he is beyond stupid, without even getting into the burn he gives Anderson and Gray. I can forgive some learning on the job, but now it's clear he's learning nothing.
It's like he carves his rotation into a stone tablet before the game..no chance for any kind of reaction or adjustment on his part.

When can we get a real f*cking coach? Dude plays journeymen guys like Chuckerson, Gray over guys like Ross/Valanciunas. Dude has a serious problem playing guys "with experience" even if they suck or are struggling. His rotations are a big reason we lose so many close games.

Both of them are. Casey was never good. But last year he was a God among you pigeons for some reason when I saw his terrible end of game management (Rasaul all the time, Magloire getting the ball at the end of games).

Re: Fire Dwane Casey Thread
Is this the same casey that was apart of the mavs championship that defeated the miami heat? sure doesnt look like it. This moron set up a 2 pt play with 9 secs left to go and we were down 4 with no timeouts. even if gay got the lay up we would still have to foul and then be down 4 with 8 secs left and no timeout. seriously it is so frustrating to watch this team when you figured AA will be in the game for defensive purposes, but he is actually killing the team yet he will still leave him in the whole 4th.

Also, i hate how we have to wait for amir or bargs or gray to run a screen. every celtic runs a screen no matter what position they play and thats why their offense flows so smoothly having players open for 3. we waste half the shot clock just for someone to set a screen which is pretty pathetic.

Where do I sign, we seriously need to come up with a petition and hand it over to MLSE. Casey is really destroying the chemistry of the team with his rotations and absolutely hindering the development of Ross and Val.

Re: Fire Dwane Casey Thread
This is simlar to the knock he had on Minny and why he got fired from there.
He had horrible rotations, preferred vets over rooks.
The pros of Casey is that he tries to maximize the player's positives to the fullest and that he has a very solid game plan heading INTO the game, however he never EVER adjusts/adapts, he never trusts his rooks even if they're playing their minds out and this is what's costing us big time.
Also; he's a terrible inbound play caller. I've never seen anything like this.
