Butch Carter: Lebron will sign with Toronto or Cleveland

Well ya know something Mean Gene?! Butch Carter was on PTS yesterday, brother. After Butch left, Bob said on the air that Butch said James would sign with either the Cavs or Raptors. It is near the start of this clip, brother:

I could see Lebron returning to Cleveland, but to the Raps? That's a headscratcher.

The only reason to leave Miami is to go home, doubt he leaves to come to the Raptors.

Also, he's already regarded as one of the top players of all-time or on that path, why wouldn't he want to keep winning titles in MIami and maybe surpass Jordan?

He should have just said Durant, that would sound more believable. There is really no good reason for Lebron to leave Miami.

Maybe because you dont keep winning titles in Miami....

Lets see what happens this year.

As I said in the KD to TO thread, its impossible to accomplish big things if you cant think big. I highly doubt LB woudl even consider us, but do I think its impossible? Absolutely not, Toronto is f-ing awesome. Build a winning culture with dedicated management that people trust, who knows? As Bradley said when being interview about why Toronto "I knew within 2 seconds of talking to Leiweke and the management team that I would be signing in Toronto".

Unless he thinks that team is done because of the cap situation, and has to be broken up. Since Miami seems unlikely to move Wade, that creates problems as Wade continues to break down.

It's one think for Lieweke to say we're gonna act like a big market and go after Lebron, it's entirely different for Butch to state Lebron would consider Toronto. Is it impossible? No, anything is possible but we're responding to Butch saying Lebron would consider Toronto not Lieweky or MLSE saying we'll go get the best.

Even if Miami doesn't win this year, he's won two titles with his friends in one of the best markets, what does Toronto sell him on? Why would he consider Toronto over Miami or Cleveland? Since you seem to be supporting this notion why don't you lay out some realistic scenarios in comparison to the two primary markets he would consider.
