It would be interesting to see the numbers from province to province.

Now imagine if the Networks actually supported and promoted this team what they could draw?

Obviously team would have to be good but it takes both and juggling them around all the networks and channels has been a complete mess.

540,000 is decent for an early game. It's a tough time slot and was also up against the Jays game.

Tomorrow will be up against the Habs-Lightning game, which could see Montreal sweep the series.

one thing ive realized is that corporations are really bad at thinking long-term. The ppl that make the cheddar are geared to think in short term

After being completely neglected and undermarketed all year they get the biggest ratings since Vince? Imagine if they face LeBron round 2.

I'd also imagine that a huge chunk is from southern ontario. PAY ATTENTION stupid networks.

I honestly think the raptors would have to win a championship to gain the heart of canadians across the country, kind of like the jays. My pops was never a baseball fan until the jays won back to back world series in 92/93. Been a fan ever since.

Edit: Especially if a canadian was the star player.

I somewhat agree, I was expecting it to be close to a million. Since the leafs average over a million on cbc Saturday nights. But than again the game started at 1230. That means people are working (like myself) during the day. The west coasters would have to be up early to watch it and only true fans would do that. I am sure if the game was slotted at 7 viewership would be much higher.
