Hayes for Pachulia + Wolters

We get a C upgrade. Take away minutes from Amir backing up JV.

Mil saves $$, but who knows what they are trying to do.

JV/Pachulia/Bebe
Amir/PPat/Hans
Ross/JJ/Caboclo
DD/Lou-Will/Fields
Lowry/Vasquez/Wolters
Retire Joey Graham's Number in the ACC #letsgooo #whatnumber?

Not bad but honestly I prefer Hayes. He's not as bad as people think since he's actually our best defender against really really big guys. JV usually gets bullied by the big guys and Amir/PPat get crushed. Hayes is really low to the ground & usually very good at preventing his man from backing him down. Pachulia would give us a better C against regular competition, but then we'd have no answer for players like Cousins that just push us around.

Would you consider
Pek + Moute + Brewer + Chase for Fields + Hayes + Amir J + Ross
You get another C that is a Legit C and Moute is a solid PF replacement
Minnesota does it only for Ross. I think a wing combination of Wiggins, Ross, Muhammad, and GR3 is a nice.

He's 7''0 and has career averages of 7.7ppg and 6.3rpg. Good post and help defender, shoots well from the stripe, knows his role and is only owed $10.4M over the next seasons (including this upcoming one, $5.2M per season). Perfect fit for what we're looking for to come off the bench for Jonas and provide us with quality minutes. He's a little older than the core (30 yrs old) but it's not a long term or expensive commitment and while we aren't competing for a championship right now, I'm sure playing in playoffs in Toronto would be more enticing than tanking in Milwaukee.

On top of all that, he should be able to be had pretty cheap. Sanders is returning for Milwaukee and will eat up most of the C minutes and they have Henson as well. Maybe we can offer Hansbrough and a 2nd rounder or Hayes straight up for him? Either one of those deals will save the Bucks $5.2M next year and get us some much needed help. Then we wouldn't need to buyout Bebe...we can let him develop elsewhere and look at him next year.

Getting Zaza takes you out of the 2015 market (I'm not a believer we can play in the 2016 FA class)

Not at all. Right now, we have Williams, Johnson, Fields, Hayes and Hansbrough all expiring at the end of this upcoming season for somewhere around $27M. Acquiring Zaza will drop that to about $22M. Not sure who you're eyeing but I'm fairly certain that should be enough to bring in a star. Or we can sit in it and try to make a huge splash in 2016.

Hayes' expiring should be enough to get the deal done

Currently raptors have guaranteed salary of $47,207,074 for 8 players in 2015-16, Plus Bebe and our 2015 pick 1st round pick. So, we will be at about $50 Mill, Lets say max salary cap rises by 7% again in 2015-16 $63,065,000 * 7% = 67.48 Mill. We will have about 17.5 Mill to sign a free agents not $27 Mill as you noted above.

I think we're going to use Hayes+Fields+asset for a starting SF next season. We could even offer up Amir Johnson and Ross for a starting PF. My hope is we can grab Milsap for Johnson+Ross. Then trade Hayes+Fields+2015 First for a SF like Igudala. That be cementing this team as a contender.

Val
Milsap/PP
Iguadala
DeRozan
Lowry/GV

We have a LeBron stopper and everyone minus Val is in their prime.

Hayes and Fields for McGee would round out the roster nicely

C: Val, McGee, Nogueira
PF: Pat, Amir, Hans
SF: Ross, JJ, Bruno
SG: DD, MW
PG: KL, GV, Don Cherry

Low-Risk, expiring after this year.

Insurance if JV goes down

Potential starters for all of our 2nd unit

Casey would have a lot of options and as you said they'd almost need two guys at one position to go down before any of the starting 5 weren't capable NBA players.

that Line up would push and fight 10+ deep

My targets in trade would be the following.

Meyers Leonard
Kyle O'Quinn
Jeff withey
Patric young
Robert sacre
Zaza pachulia
Joel Anthony

I don't think any of their respective teams are huge on them but each one could step in and take the backup C minutes unless Bebe is way ahead of schedule. in which case we've got a good problem to have

Millsap is a FA next season. He's not worth Amir & Ross but even if he was why would we do that when we can sign him outright? Iggy is 30, slowly declining and cant shoot the 3.

As far as moving Fields & Hayes, that only happens if Masai sees a player he likes. If he doesn't, he's not going to want to take back additional salary and ruin the flexibility he's created for 2015-2016.

Everyone talks about Okafor and Blatche, but what about Jermaine O'neal?? the guy fills a role that we really need. A veteran off the bench who can still score alittle bit, but more importantly provides leadership and rim protection. :D :D :D :D

Amir Johnson is also a expiring after next season. Having Milsap's bird rights will make re-signing him much easier at the price of just Ross. Iguodala is a decent enough three pointer especially if you have a stretch four like Milsap on the floor. It gives us a chance to match up against LeBron James someone that you need to counter in order to win a championship (eg. Mavs with Shawn Marion). Flexibility for what? In the past 20 year history the biggest signing this team has had is Hedo Turkoglu we're the equivalent of the Timberwolves. It's better for this team to build through the draft and trades.
