Offer is made by lakers. Not sure why Scott would refuse.

Good hiring in my opinion.

Terrible hire.

The dude sucks at coaching.

It's been proven. Look at his defensive rankings. They are consistently in the bottom 5.

The Lakers have continued their disaster summer with another terrible move.

Surely owners must accept the fact that some nba coaches were terrible like Mike Brown and you should stop hiring them.

Why would he refuse? Because he's like guaranteed to get unceremoniously fired.

Look at that roster, who do you think is going to get blamed when they're 10 games under .500 in January? Kobe? Mitch? Not likely..

Not ruling Doc Rivers out of this yet. But Byron Scott is the guy Kobe wanted for whatever reason. I still don't understand why Phil Jackson retired and came back as GM with the Knicks. Why not just GM the Lakers.

I enjoy the Lakers being irrelevant.

In the words of DeMar DeRozan.

Man, that's definitely big man.

Think Phil and the owner have beef.

I'm kinda hoping that Kobe has some kind of swan-song left in him but at this point the response has got to be "who cares?" They'd be lucky to be better than the Knicks.

Considering there was no other proven coaches out there I think he is a good hire. If he can get them to the postseason he has done his job and I think he will be able to.

Kobe played with Byron Scott in his rookie year

Talking about Phil, by owner, you mean Phil's brother-in-law right?
