same here, I must admit.
Let's hope his intensity in defense will also take a step up this season.

It was beautiful. He did it last season, and it didn't look as smooth as it did today. DeMar has really been putting this summer to use.

Also, I think I'm going to catch the replay and see if I missed anything. Focusing more on the defensive side of the ball. For others who missed the game, there's a replay at 12 am (so less than an hour) and 10 am on NBA TV.

Led in points, led in assists, tied for 2nd in boards.

What's funny is, that great pass he made to Drummond was overlooked because of the dunk Drummond pulled off using it. The commentators are use to seeing flashy passes like that from PG's and players on a regular basis, they were just going like ooo aaa for the dunk. We as Raptors fans only know how special that pass was because Demar could never make that and never really tried to, I guess its a good thing though because those commentators and fans who don't really get to see Demar play (they think he was already some star with elite passing/dunking/scoring etc) they probably think Demar does that on a regular to even mention it as a sick pass.

I admit I've called demar an inefficient chucker who we could replace with any other SG and still maintain the same production but boy. Last season, the plays offs and now with team USA shows he's really turned the page and kicked it up a notch. Finally proud to wear the derozan jersey that my wife bought me by accident (blasphemy I know)

So this joker still thinks Demar is one of the most likely to be cut, without giving any explanation whatsoever.

DeMar DeRozan, who was the leading scorer in the USA Basketball Showcase in Las Vegas, tied for the team-high with 13 points on 6-for-9 shooting on Wednesday. He’s one of the players most likely to be sent home this weekend, but has flourished in these fast-paced games.

Journalism: Just say ****.

Unbelievable how much hate Raptors players get. Strip away all the times we on RealGM overreact to being overlooked and there's still this disgusting mountain of disrespect.

John Schuhmann isn't a joker and he's probably right, he's one of the more likely guys to get cut. Not because he's a bad player because it's Team USA and the politics will rule the day. If Rose can't be active they will keep that extra guard for security and they need bigs. Plus they have another Demar in Rudy but if he does get cut he will make the team in the future.
Ska needs to make a comeback.

It's amazing how bad Raptor fans on this board are at evaluating players. I sit here year after year reading posts by the same posters knowing 3 or 4 years down the road they'll change their opinions on those who they either bash or promote, and it pretty much always comes true. It's becoming comical. From loving Bargani and Turkoglu to hating on Derozan and Lowry... how things have changed.

If Gay played within himself here he could have helped a lot more than he hurt. Another note I hope DeRozan improves his defense a lot... He was getting blown by way to often, but his offensive game looks on point although we don't know how his NBA 3 is coming along.

Man, that back-to-basket shimmy/fade was awesome. I know he's been adding turn around/fade aways for a year or two, but that was a whole new level. I watched it about 10 times in a row!

:o if they cut them all, there won't be any white people on the team. Wait a minute ... would Korver still make the cut? Steph Curry is biracial. That might be enough to appease those who insist.

Finished watching the game and my expectations for Demar have grown for this up coming season. He played well defensively, his handles have improved SO MUCH, as well as his play making ability has gotten better since the playoffs. This training camp has helped him to take his game to another level in my opinion and I can't wait for the preseason to begin.

The extra guard being Lillard? DeRozan out played him and he was letting DeMar be the alpha. There is no excuse to cut DeRozan, I fully expect him to make the team over Korver, Parsons, Thompson, Hayward, Gay, and Lillard.
