Long time lurker, first time poster. I follow DeMar on twitter and it seems he may have heard of his ranking on SI's rankings. Not sure how to post a tweet but he posted:

"Real disrespectful! #ProveEm"

Are we gonna see DeMar step up his game even further? Hoping this just lights an even bigger fire in him.

SI sucks. They have Kobe, Wade, and Melo in their top 10. I'm not sure any GM in the league would feel the same way. Maybe 3 yrs ago.

Edited to add: Whoops!! That was the 2013 rankings. Man, I thought they were nuts.

DeMar's right and you know what, I actually thank SI for putting DeMar down because he's only gonna feed off from this and evolve furthermore into the ALL-STAR that he ALREADY IS!!! Smfh, TAKE IT IN THOOO, they put an ALL-STAR in the 60s ... f**kin pathetic....

DeMar (61) is only 3 spots ahead of Osik (64)??!! and he's only 1 spot ahead of Garlinari who has undergone 2 knee surgeries and has missed 1 and a half season. Really? DeMar is worse than Hayward, Gortat, Josh Smith, Hibbert, Pierce, D-Will, Brook Lopez...Seriously? this list makes ESPN analysts look like actual analysts.

There are always going to be doubters. Rightfully so. Americans dont know about Toronto - we havent exactly made a lot of noise over the years. For that reason our players are overlooked.

Being an underdog has its advantages though. Less media attention means less distractions. At the end of day, he was selected as an All-Star. The players and coaches know that he's legit.

you guys are funny...why would anybody outside Raps fans know much about DD?
What has he done in his carrier that is so impressive???

Everybody knows KL is the main guy in Raps that pulled them into playoffs.
Add to it that DD plays for a team that gets no respect in the league (rightfully so) and is almost invisible for most NBA fans, not sure why the surprise about SI rating???

Let's hope next year Raps make some noise in the playoffs and DD does not disappear (like in first playoffs game), and then we can talk again.

I was wondering if someone could put together a compilation of Demar's highlights from team USA's training camp to the gold medal game? I want to see why an Allstar + Gold Medalist is ranked so disrespectfully low...not to mention he was in the top 10 for scoring this past season. #ProveEM
