When will Casey give Bruno a proper burn in the preason? because he's not going to get it this season. All our games will be tight so there will barely be any garbage minutes for the kid to play in.

I couldn't watch the game. During his 14min:47sec, how did Landry look?

Hamilton outplayed him again.

I was going to post a picture of bloody stool here, but that's too gross, although that's an accurate representation of how well Fields played.

[edit] I may be confusing him with Vasquez though, my stream frikkin' sucked and I muted it because of Tommy.

Fields played well. Assisted on a few big buckets by driving and kicking, and played solid D as usual.

That's unfortunate considering Hamilton & Cherry are perhaps the odd men out. The nerve damage is a thing but, it's not fair to Will and/or Jordan either.

Do you think he's improved over last season? Too soon to tell?

Considering he'll probably remain with the team for the bulk of the season, that doesn't sound very encouraging.

Fields actually played ok, did what we expect from him, had one careless turnover though. Vasquez made me pull hair out, he was going all Russell Westbrook and kept clanking everything as only the end where he finally made some shots but the amount of chucking he did was unacceptable. Lou was the same but his was toned down and he got the gw. Imo Vasquez has played the worst this preseason out of anyone on the team. Bruno is still running around carelessly but the effort defensively is there and his arms.. he can really mess with passing lanes. Hamilton was causing all kinds of chaos with his constant slashing and drive and kicking, he is a keeper. Steimsma couldn't box out or rebound for jack, started to be exposed as another Aaron Gray stiff. Ross also played ok, but constantly got into trouble when he tried to drive was only effective in transition. Might be his role but he seems limited. Their was a stretch where they forcefed Jonas and he did more good than bad. They gotta spread that out over the game and it would be fine.

Anyone else just happy to see that Bruno might actually be a solid 3rd stringer this season?

Said in the game thread that GV play was concerning but heres hoping that its just pre-season rust. To be honest the only people impressing me night in & night out has been Lowry/Demar(and lesser extent JV/Amir), with Patterson/Ross/Lou/JJ having a few stand out moments.

Just going chop it up to pre-season..

For those that said, Hamilton outplayed Fields, they both played great actually. Fields was amazing in his perimeter defence especially when Thorton was going off. Hamilton was great with his slashing and shooting...just 1 bad one when he gave a 5 pt play

Felt like a high school game.. I liked it though, really got a good sense of how big some of the guys are. Smart looked like a SF guarding Lowry.

I don't think this will be as bad as most think (it will create issues, I don't doubt that one bit.)

The way I see it shaping out:

Lowry - 32 mins
DeRozan - 32 mins
Ross - 28 mins
Vasquez - 20 mins
Lou Will - 20 mins
JJ - 12 mins

Lou and Vas will likely see the same amount of minutes in the first half of the game and then the bulk of the second half will go to the hot hand. JJ will take more minutes if Ross isn't having a good night. I also think we have enough firepower offensively to be able to sit DeRozan and Lowry for the majority of the second quarter, and a 5-7 minute breather between third and fourth.
