Re: Thomas Robinson
I always liked Robinson's game. It's a shame it didn't all come together once he entered the league. He is a great energy big.

Re: Thomas Robinson
I thought he had a good year last year on a good Portland team.
That said, the Heat is a really good opportunity for him, if Riley's interested.

Possible wing help? Sixers waive Andrei Kirilenko
I feel like he would be a solid addition to the bench. Waive Steims and add a player that can guard multiple positions, rebound and provide some rim protection on the cheap: http://goo.gl/57EvdE

Doesn't he not want to play Basketball? Or did he just not want to play for the Nets (I don't blame him)

I don't get the Robinson love. I thought he would be a decent player, but it just isn't going to happen. He rebounds well, but does nothing else. He's a terrible shooter and defender. Why would we want him again? Better to try and Draft a pf the year if we want a young backup. Not sure if Christian Wood will be available that late, but it really shouldn't be difficult to find a backup of Robinsons caliber.

I didn't want to make a separate thread but what are your guys thoughts about targeting lamarcus aldridge. Make a huge push for him to sign here. Even if it means to let lou and amir walk would he consider us as a place to sign. Cause he will fit so well in our starting lineup and with his ability to stretch the floor.

Will have $48,195,074 in committed salaries for 2015/16 and the luxury cap is 76 mil if I'm correct. Doubt he signs here but he seems like a player that can make us a true contender if we get him.

I'm not opposed to Masai making a big offer to Lamarcus, but I don't see any reason why he would leave Portland unless he thought it would be significantly easier to reach the finals in the East which may well be the case. That said he fits rather nicely with Lopez who is a solid defender. I'd definitely be ok with a push for Lamarcus though. If he were a straight free agent signing we would still have all our picks including that extra 2016 pick which is looking more and more valuable. Not a bad front court with him and Val.

People laughed when I suggested we trade TRoss for KCP in November.
55 games later they have almost identical stats.
Back then I was thinking KCP plus something (2nd rounder or player), but now I'm thinking they are straight up equal.
Whadda ya say? Give up a little size for someone a couple years younger? Do you do it?
Couple of so so (or ****, depending on your perspective) 10 PER backups that were unfortunately, (for their teams) picked 8th. Maybe a fresh start for both is warranted this summer.

This is pretty bad. Houston is giving up a late first and spare parts for an all-star PG and a young SG like Ross?
Denver gets two late first round picks and a back up PG for Lawson?
Toronto's return is not bad but they're spare parts. If we're moving Ross and can't get a first for him, I'd rather just not do it. Unless it's a bigger deal for a better return. Plus you have us giving up a first as well?
Nope. That first could be used in a bigger deal to help us acquire a wing.
I'll probably get flamed for this but if there was a way we could do a three team deal that would send Lowry elsewhere while we get Lawson, I'd look pretty hard at it. Not that I don't appreciate Lowry or anything but Lawson is good and what gets me about him is how efficiently he shoots the basketball. If we're staying the course with DeRozan, it's going to be tough to win games with both our main scoring options shooting 42%>. The only issue with Lawson is what we would be giving up defensively.

Aldridge isn't coming here. Things are going great for him out West and they really are solid bench away from being serious contenders. They made it to the second round last year. I can't see why he would leave a situation like that to come here to the Raptors.
I would rather focus our efforts on guys like Tobias Harris. A young versatile forward who can grow with our core. He's in a losing situation out there in Orlando and perhaps our winning, the chance to play with two all stars, playing in the post season and the amount of money we're offering, he could want to play here.
Or we could offer some money to Greg Monroe. Not sure if he's planning to stay with the Pistons but we need a starting PF and if he can JV can play together, that would be a very good pairing. Then pull off a trade for Wilson Chandler and that would make us a very fun and interesting team.
Oh yeah... trade Vasquez too.

While the tax may be 76m, the cap is lets call it 66m;
When you factor in whatever we will pay the first rounder we would be around 50m in committed salary with 16m to spend with five open roster spots, as LMA is a 6 - 9 year player his max would start at around 17.7m
I like him has a player but as a guy who is certain to get maxed out I couldn't see him leaving Portland and leaving the 5th year and raised on the table to the tune of 30m dollars to leave in general.
