Like Rick Carlisle

If by any chance he gets available I would instantly fire Casey and hire him

Sure, too bad he's not even close to available.

We are a top offensive team and a bottom defensive team. The solution is obvious. Casey should stop coaching D and let them do whatever they want on that end.

Sometimes it's not just coaching

How many 1 dimensional players do we have on our team? Above average offensive players but below average defensive players specifically.

How about running the same damn Lou ISO play at the end of every quarter?

How may more possessions will we waste because of our idiotic coach?

Read rapsfansinohio post above.

Casey's offensive schemes are laughable.

I didn't want him to be re signed but some of the Casey hate is mindboggling. He is nowhere near as bad as people are making him out to be.

Stupid character limit.

2 Things I'd like to see from DC, and if he does those, he can stay:

1)- want him to stop with the weird rotations man.
2)- Play JV 30+ min ( If he is having a crappy game, NP, but he needs consistent minutes, especially when he is having a huge game like versus the Bucks)

Is that too much to ask for ?

* Also, putting Ross on the bench isn't a bad thing, he might find his niche and carve up a pretty good career as a 6th man , one day..... But to put GV in the starting line up ? Come on, man. That is plain stupidity. If you are worried about " spacing" and do not want to remove AJ from the line up, then Keep Ross for crying outloud !

Starting line up :
Klo
DD
JJ
PP
JV

Bench: Amir, GV, Lou, Ross

We can't be playing worse than we already are, so why the heck not !

Personally I love Casey. The only real beef I have with him is his 4th quarter usage of Jonas (non usage). But honestly I've been watching the Raps play since like 1999 i've never seen a team compete night in and night out the way Casey has these guys competing.

And you take off your Grass is Greener glasses. Our roster, for the talent that's on it, is overachieving.

I wouldn't exactly say that the talent on this roster is exactly overachieving. Our coach lets our players do whatever they want on offense, like Demar has mentioned before. The only thing Casey provides for this team offensively is the few plays that we have on offense like the play for Demar to curl off the wing with Amir as the screener or the floppy play to set Ross up at the corners and the rest are attempts of PnRs and Isos. Ultimately our talent on this team decides what to run on offense, what other coach in the league lets their players do whatever they want on offense and still have a good record doing it? We are only as good as our talent will take us, but there comes a point where we will need more than talent but a system to have it work as a cohesive group both on offense and defense. I can see us losing first round again if we don't get much help from coach on offense, right now we live and die by our ability to shoot.

Go read Undefeated's post. We run a lot more plays than you think.

I knew we had more plays in the playbook, but it seemed we only ran few of them more consistently in games than others. For example that screen for JV in the post to give him deep position in the post is honestly underused as i mentioned in a post before. Especially when our shooters aren't hitting shots, It seems more often than not that they will just keep forcing it until it goes in with little attempt to get the ball to the bigs.
I like you.
