DeRozan to attend Team USA minicamp

USA Basketball's focus for the camp is not on-court work, but mostly dialogue and getting confirmation on interest in next summer, Stein adds.

New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony is also expected to attend but unlikely to participate in any scrimmages as he is still recovering from knee surgery. Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers and DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors are also reportedly expected to attend, but not necessarily hit the hardwood.

Harden played on both the 2012 Olympic gold medal-winning U.S. squad and last summer's FIBA World Cup champion.

I wonder if this had anything to do with his injury last season. Thibs is known for causing injuries

Wish him the best of luck. It's going to be really hard for him to make it this time around because the A list players are going to be in it too, but I'm rooting for another Raptor to make the Olympic team, ala VC and Bosh.

Anytime spent with that coaching staff is going to be beneficial for him.

Agree'd. It's always nice to have a raptor on team USA. It gives you that little "link" to the team.

I hope demar makes it.

Even if DD makes it there's a chance he won't be a raptor by then.
