Why Bucks have played 31 games on the road 7-21. They are way better at home 13-8. So they will get more home games just 2.5 games back

story checks out 8-)

I just have no faith in that roster, their defense is brutal

I'd trade the Knicks pick and Carroll to the Knicks for Melo.
Lowry
DD
JJ
Melo
JV

CoJo
TRoss
2Pat
Scola

9 man deep roster. We'd terrorize teams in the East.

This will let them tank properly this season, and it'll help us solidify ourselves as top team in the East.

Go stand in a corner and hang your head in shame for suggesting such a horrendous deal. Melo is turrible (said in full Sir Charles voice)

bad defender with a huge contract... he'd ruin our chemistry and our future plans with his mother of god expensive contract.

For all the knocks against Melo, that trade is actually in Toronto's favour seriously.....to the point the KNicks would never do that

U guys are seriously underrating Melo here.

I would not do that trade. Yes we add a really good scorer, but basketball isnt just about putting talent on a team and WALA you have a great team. Its about chemistry and I know that Carroll is a player that fits in better with lowry and dd over melo. Also, thank goodness that trade is never happening so there's no point of talking about it.

I like Melo more than most here, but what the Raps don't need is an expensive, ball dominant scorer who doesn't defend real well.

Nuggets vs Knicks on Sunday. Who should we be routing for?

Nuggets, their pick is lower. We get the worse pick of the two.

True, but both are within 5 games of a playoff position (Knicks 4.5 games out / Nuggets 5 games out)

Looks like they are trying to finish 9th. I think the are missing an opportunity to rid themselves of people here and get a better pick doing it. everyone expected they would be actively shopping guys.

Are we entering the anti-tank era?

Other than Philly, every other team, even the ones at the bottom, are trying to win. Brooklyn, Minny, NO, LA etc -- these teams weren't trying to suck heading into the new season.

I think a team like DEN looks at a team like the Hawks and thinks, why can't we build a team of 5-6 good players and win now instead of stripping down like the 76ers did and gamble on the unpredictability of the draft.

I was trying to figure this out myself.

I think Denver has an easier schedule remaining but they know they are going to be getting a first round pick so they may make some trades to rev up the tank.

New York has lost eight of the last nine. A couple more losses and the players could just quit. I don't see them being able to any trades that would make them better either.

I'm going to root for Denver.

the thing is there is a chance they have 4 first round picks THIS year(and if not they roll over to next), already have a roster of lots of young players, they are looking to consolidate them.
another argument is that a playoff push is good for young players development and it raises thier value playing well. with an aging west (mem, dal, rockerts) there might be an opportunity next year if you dont tear it down.

Denver needs a superstar. It's that simple. That group they have won't be more than a late playoff seed and first round fodder for the foreseeable future. They should sell at least one of Faried or Galo and tank for top 5. Sure the odds of landing Simmons are slim, but that group they have will never be more than a treadmill.
