Masai played himself with the DMC signing and the dumb Ross extension, now there's nothing he really can do except pray for some cheap impact signing like Lou and Biz.

If DMC was on the market this summer he would have gotten 15-17M/y. If ross was on the market he would have gotten 12-15 Mill. Yes masai played himself. We could have saved all that money for ryan anderson

This is a bad, bad situation to be in.

There isn't much evidence to support that Masai is actually trying to trade Ross. Our backup SG position is nowhere near our most important flaw at the moment, especially with Norman proving equally capable to Ross.

The choice of remaining free agent bigs is rapidly diminishing and we will likely be overspending on a d-league level talent for backup C, along the likes of Aaron Gray and Jason Thompson for PF.

lol we did so bad last year with a crappy pf that we only won 56 games.
get your emotions under control. the best pf we could've gone after was horford and he got the max while declining.
there were no good pf options in this fa. why wipe out depth for role players.

We just lost Biz who was at times MVP in our playoff run.

If I'm Masai, I would consider picking up Channing Frye on the cheap, if only to break up the Cavs' bench depth and actually fill a need on our team. He'd be a good fit next to JV as a sharpshooter, and if we manage to pull off that Ross+ for Noel trade, he's a serviceable player in spot minutes as a backup 4/5 with Patt and Poeltl.

lol biz's best games were when he didn't have to play against a big man.
He was a good fit for us but not worth what he got paid, either to us or orlando.
i guarantee you if we can get someone like dedmon, he can easily reproduce most of what biz did for us.

Biz won us about 3 games by himself in that playoff run.

The smaller players will start getting signed now that the Durant domino has fallen. Please Terrence Jones come here!

Restless only because we were inches away from the finals and I expected an aggressive Masai to make a hard push while Lowry still has a little in the tank. He has appeared to do the opposite and looks to be in semi rebuild mode.

dedmon's qo just got rescinded as well. i think he'd make an adequate backup center, especially when playing next to poeltl.
also with terrence jones, how's his defense? that's what we need from him more than his offense, other than the occasional 3.

Not even close to true.

Let's not go nuts. He had 3 big games out of 20. He was a near non-factor when JV was healthy.

This thread gives me anxiety every time I refresh the Raptors forum and don't see any news. I stare at my screen and yell in my head "YES I AM RESTLESS" then smash something.

For what it's worth, I have a feeling Masai will fill the lineup with vets, like a combo of David West/Festus Ezeli/Acy/Terrence Jones/Donatas + a wing like Lance Stephenson/RJ/Artest/or if we're lucky Raptor Killer Gerald Henderson

We aren't winning a title, why be agressive?
