Nope, opted for a veteran squad (Barbosa, Nene, Varejao)

Very excited to see Lithuania play. I knew they were good and a rabid basketball country, but I didn't realize they were ranked 3rd in the world. I hope they take the gold.

I wish, bro. But as long as Team USA is competing... Very unlikely. Lithuania isn't even a top contender to challenge Team USA.

Wow Spain, Argentina and Croatia that's a pretty tough stretch for Luthiana.

Who gives US a run? Serbia?

Opted for former NBA talent not cheerleaders tbh.

Canada fails to even qualify and Bebe & Bruno can't make the home team.

:-?

I guess I'm cheering for USA and Lithuania.

As Homer once said, easiest part of any coaches job - the cuts. Lithuania coach made 2 cuts today. Mindaugas Girdziunas and Deividas Gailius were cut. I want to know what Lithuanians think about these cuts.

I honestly a little shocked Girdziunas was cut. He look good in these games and overall just had a great season. I thought he would be completely serviceable point guard, good handle, can shoot.

Deividas Gailius cut was less surprising. He is good player, NT material, but there are better options and wingman positions. I just hope Grigonis gets in, 39.4 3PT%, 1.4 PPS, 60.1 TS% in Spanish ACB, you take that guy.
Gailius is really individually strong player, made a nice shake and bake today, looking like Terrence Romeo from Philippines, except Gailius can actually do other things, not just fancy dribbling.

the Girdziunas cut could hurt bc LTU PG depth isn't great in the first place.

I wonder how american players will get a long with KD being on the same team, especially someone like Cousins. Good thing for him that there is quite few Warriors on the team.

Girdziunas, Gailius, Milaknis and Kariniauskas didn't make the cut. D-Mo is also not playing for Lithuania this year.
There should be an interesting friendly tomorrow between Spain and Lithuania, JV is gonna play, I believe.
