Season opener: Pistons at Raptors, October 26th PREDICTIONS

Post#1 » by purelystellar00 » Sun Oct 23, 2016 4:51 pm

Started this topic to make a prediction for our season opener against Detroit.

I figured that the Raptors would ideally take the Win in this game against Detroit. Main reasons include that Pistons would be starter Reggie Jackson is injured and out for a couple weeks. DeMar and Kyle have looked very good in the preseason including in the Raptors preseason game in Detroit. We know that Ross and CoryJO are good to go for the opener but obviously, the one question mark is Sullinger and his left foot issue which I believe he is questionable for the season opener.

If Sullinger can't play then can Siakam probably will start. I think despite if Sullinger is out we will still win this game, I believe, but I think the game is gonna finish closer than If we had everyone healthy.

Based on this, I say we win to a score of 105 - 100 with the Pistons, in the 4th quarter hitting 3's and keeping it close until the end.

If we don't beat the Pistons more than 25+ points, it's definitely a fake W and early panac time

Either fake win, or time to blow it up.

Andre Drummond tries to fight Lowry when all of a sudden, the legend (Chuck Hayes) appears to bum rush him.

we play sloppy AF, pure iso hero ball, Demar tries to justify his contract by going 4/22 while Lowry gets blocked on a drive to the basket, Raptors 3rd Quarter melt down, 4th Quarter fake hustle, lose by 4.

I predict that if we win by less than 30 pts then the realgm raptors board is unhappy with the team and asks for tanking.

Also I predict there will be a Ross vs Drummond comparison in the game thread. Or 20 of them (that is my betting over/under! not including mine)

I think the game is decided in the last two minutes. Without Jackson, the Raptors surely have the edge. Detroit coaching staff will be prepared though, and Detroit did come out of the gates strong last season with a big win on the road in Atlanta.

This should be a win, and I have a feeling Siakam will impress everyone, as this is the best opportunity he's ever had and likely going to have in his career. And I think he knows that.
