Kyrie > Lowry
Korver << Demar
Lebron >>>> Carroll
Love > Ibaka
Thompson > Jonas

Bench:
Smith > Powell
Shumpert = Tucker
Frye > Patterson
Williams < Joseph (potentially)
Sanders >> Bebe/Poltel (potentially)

They still have us beat on paper; especially if they add Williams and Sanders.

Patterson is better than Frye, Norm over JR since he's been out a while.

Irrelevant though, they have LeBron.

Ibaka will be retained. Tucker not sure. It keeps the window open for the next 4 seasons.

Minus K Love I'd say chances are 30-40%. A fighter's chance

Votes no.

It's possible but still Cavs are the favorite unless the love injury remains through the playoffs.

I'm still not sure about what has happened over the last 6 weeks. These moves are all great, but is PPat returning really gonna get thsi team back to being the 2nd best team in the east? Or will we still struggle and loose to the Orlando's, Phoenix's of the world as we have been.

You keep adding to your asset base to get closer and closer. And the Ibaka deal certainly was done with next season as well as this season in mind.

Kyrie killed us in the playoffs last year. 24.2 pts on nearly 50% shooting (48.3%), 3.3 Rebs, 4.5 Ast, 1.2 Stls, .7 Blk. We didn't have an answer for him. Plus I think you're underrating Kyrie's overall game just because he plays with Lebron. Not saying that he would be able to lead his team to the Finals but with the right pieces, he could of lead a team to the playoffs. Edit: Forgot to say, I still think Lowry is the better franchise PG and the better PG for our team, but in the playoffs... things change for Lowry. Not always for the best.

Also... Love has been playing ridiculous this season. It's taken him some time to get adjusted to this role with the Cavs but I think it came together this year. It just sucks he got hurt.

2016-17: PTS TRB AST FG% FG3% FT% eFG% PER WS
Love 20 11.1 1.9 42.9 38.4 87.6 51.6 22 5.6
Ibaka 15.1 6.8 1.1 48.8 38.8 84.6 54.7 17.6 4.0

You can argue about defense but Love is also a rebounding machine and an amazing outlet passer. So it really helps the Cavs' transition game.

I wouldn't read too much into Masai's statement about wanting to re-sign Ibaka. I'm sure he'd like to just as he wanted to bring Biyombo back. But the combination of our free agents (Lowry, Pat, Ibaka, Tucker) + our bloated cap situation + the fact that Lowry and Ibaka have the same agent makes the prospect both coming back extremely unlikely. Everyone on here claiming we can just trade away big contracts (JV, Carroll, etc.) for nothing in order to open up the required room is living in fantasy land; as are the fans who believe MLSE will pay well into eight figures in tax. And just because a team might have cap space that doesn't mean they want to use it on another team's leftovers (without being handsomely compensated).

I think that were one Lebron James injury away from being the best team in the east.

They will three the Raptors to death. Love, James, Korver, Frye, Irving, Smith, it just keeps going.

If Lowry is in his choke mode, you can forget about it. I'm still not convinced it won't be a Cavs Warriors finals

Oh, I thought it was obvious that the compare a player method to rank teams against one another was one of the, if not the worst analysis in basketball.

A team could lose on every comparison but one and still be the much worse team for example if Lebron James is on the other side.
