Their instructors would build them up as the next coming of Pavarotti and then we'd go to a student recital and be unimpressed. They, and their fellow opera colleagues, thought they were fantastic and we were puzzled.

The thing is that getting up on stage, before your voice is fully trained, takes a lot of guts. You have to be full of yourself. Your ego has to be huge.

LIke I think it is important to remember to a guy like Nowell HAS been one of the best players to put on a teams uniform pretty much everywhere he went his entire life.

I am glad we are looking to keep him with the 905. I think he could make more money in Europe, but if he is willing to wait out the NBA then I am happy to see him playing with us.

His K-State tourney run was one of my favorite things to watch as far as a pure basketball experience. Just so many amazing dimes and shotmaking. I'd rate that run as close second to watching Kevin Durant killing it at Rucker Park, and the Jimmer Fredette experience at BYU.

Similar stature and had a great career despite his height issues. I think Nowell is an even better special floor general.

I know people like to hate on the kid, but I think eventually Nowell should get some run in the NBA. Nowell had great defensive and offensive analytics in college, and in the G-League Showcase Cup where he played 9 games he had 15 PPG 10 AST and 2 STL per game. If not for the injury, he was on-track to get NBA attention.

The fact that the Raptors want to retain him in their farm system, shows he is valued.
