Medicine Man is before him Thursdays 6-8 on No Man's Land. Another great show. I got my good friend listening to that weekly. I'd venture to say Thursdays has the best shows. It's pretty solid all day long.

Yah I'm pretty sure Ken IS medicine man.

Cbc radio has pretty good content every weekday. There's an evening drive show that is mostly rnb (not billboard stuff, lots of indie Canadian artists) that is usually good. 6 to 9. Then a shoe called "after dark" which is really eclectic. Gospel, jazz, indie rock, electronic. Runs the whole gamut. I think it's 9 to 12. So good music every night from 6 to 12.

Hehe, I'm very confident that Ken IS not. I know both their voices. Ken also does Across the Universe Sundays which is great.

Yeah, CBC has it's moments that I should utilize more. I've actually been thinking that. Good call. Blues on Sunday or Saturday is good too. The Jazz station has its moments as well.

Whoa. I'm legit confused because I've heard that radio show for at least 2 decades. Perhaps Ken is the one who announces the tracks during the global rhythms sets? If so....I always assumed that voice was the dj of the show.

You are definitely correct tho. That guy in that interview is not the guy who identifies the previously played tracks every 20 minutes or so during the show.

Broncho and little else right now. They are just such a fun OKC band with some pretty big shifts in sounds album to album. If you like punk/post-punk/new wave, sort of Cars or Dire Straits on acid, you will like this group.

Yeah it's Ken. And he's the host of various shows. It seems he's a busy man with the station.

Co-signed. Great selection. I love musical rap with real instruments (e.g. The Roots).

And more than that. Nice remix of "Message in a Bottle." "Tell Me" was great R&B. 70's worthy, but from the 90s.

Glad you guys liked it. Lots of great edits and remixes. He's from Toronto and used to DJ here regularly.

Good song to get me moving. I actually started listening to the songs from the start today and man it's going to take awhile. I got side tracked from the Spiritbox tunes in the OP to a Bad Omens All Songs mix. I'm still not sure but I'm at the 20 minute mark of 2 and a half hours so promising. Good cleaning music if nothing else.

edit: and i spotted a Deftones greatest list on the side bars. I'm never going to finish this thread hahah

Definitely j Cole but I'm way too old for hip hop fans to care about.

That Kendrick beat is by far, THE WORST use of that Barry white sample I've heard. And there has been alot lol. In my day....that beat would've been clowned by everybody.

The j Cole track has decent beats. I'm guessing because he makes his own beats.

Country? Not sure. But definitely a whiskey song. BTW, any Bryan Ferry fans out there. Where you at? I heard Flipper rolled over and took his own life. Poor guy. Good thing humans can't do that. I'd have rolled over a long time ago hehe. Just kidding I'm afraid of reincarnation. 8-)

Happy belated 420. Any good songs out there. This was my favs I heard.

Just discovered Tokyo Groove Jyoshi. The bass player is insane.

Between Hiromi, this band and watching the Shogun reboot, I'm developing a sincere appreciation (not a fetish!) for Japanese women.
