Checking the remaining schedule for us and MEM, it'll be close. We both have 4 potential "easy" wins, but theirs are "easier" being DETx2 and SASx2, vs our WASx2 and BKYx2.

We likely lose the pick either way though lol.

Damn, I knew we were bad, but I didn't expect worst in the NBA bad lol. If only we had done this earlier in the season.

Not to many teams can win when arguably your best 2 players (Scottie / Poeltl) are both hurt, and then even guys like RJ, Brown, IQ, GTJ, Boucher, have all missed time as well.

Since Scott + Yak went down our most played guys have been

Dick
IQ
Olynyk
Agbaji
GTJ

So yeah... I don't think any coach in the league can win with that or even come close
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Last 6 games we are a -13.8NRTG. 2nd last is -9.0 (MIL) and 3rd last is -8.7 (PHI)

He didn't win when we had a full roster either. We've only won three in a row once. Once, this year.

Why even pretend this gets better with him as the HC next year.

We replaced Fred with Dennis Schroder and McDaniels contributed nothing. No coach would’ve won with this roster. Darko’s bread and butter is player development. That’s what he was brought in for. There are definitely coaches out there that could squeeze out a couple more wins but what’s the point when we are so far away from contention.

Those are all excuses. He's not shown anything that indicates he's a winning HC, right?

He's here to soak up L's because good head coaches don't want that.

Dude..our entire staring lineup changed from beginning to now. I don’t see how any coach can coach any chemistry. Why is the sixers 7th then? Oh…not because Embiid is injured?

I'm still hoping Blazers can pass us. They need 3 more wins to tie us. Unfortunately, their remaining schedule looks brutal.

from tankathon, not sure if 100% accurate, wiki has different odds.

If we stay at 6

34.8% chance of getting top 4
8.6% to stay at 6
30.7% move back to 7
21.7% to move back to 8

very easily to move back still at 6

Trying to really determine if Darko is any good in this season is downright impossible.

1) we gave the keys to a 21/22 year old to start the year
2) OG / Siakam were so checked out the entire year.
3) We turned over our entire roster like 3 times. We have had 28 players suit up for us this year. 16 different guys have started a game
4) Now our entire team is injured

There was just no way this team was going to be successful with all that going on. I would be interested to see what they look like with a full off-season / training camp and some continuity going into next year.

Sometimes seasons are just lost. We straight up had a game where Gradey Dick was the longest tenured Raptor on the floor

Season was lost due to awful FO decisions. Even if we had a great season we were looking at being a 7-10 seed. We still would’ve had to make tough decisions on OG/Trent/Siakam. By making the decisions during the season our FO turned this into a lost season. Having a bad year sucks but having a bad year without control of your draft pick is unbearable.

If he's back, we're not trying to win. That's really a discussion for the people paying the seat prices.

They need 4 more wins to tie us, and I don't think they even win 2 more this season. That also assumes we lose all of our remaining games, which might seem possible at the moment but is not likely. We'll win one of those WASH games. Best case scenario remains that Memphis passes us so we slightly improve our odds of keeping the pick, and then the rest us up to the lottery gods.

No, those aren’t excuses. Those are facts. Prior to the season most media outlets had this team winning between 33-37 games. We weren’t and aren’t a good team. It’s also Darko’s first year as a head coach. He’s known for his player development as well as Jama. That’s far more important for this franchise because if we don’t develop any talent than this team isn’t going anywhere.
