And just like that, we have the 6th best odds pre-lottery once again.

Can we go 0-12 and lock it in?

People are crazy if they think Jack gets traded. Next season we are going to try and compete. We might bring in a project Center like Edey, but he’ll need 2-3 seasons. So Jak fits the team perfectly.

If Sarr is available at 6 might be a different story, but Shepard is the guy I hope falls to us. Dillingham I’m less interested as he is basically Quickley 2.0. Nabbing someone liek Dalton Knetch with the Indy pick would be interesting as well.

I wonder if Sac doesn't wanna commit long term to Monk that maybe they wouldn't mind Bruce Brown in return on a S&T. He'd be useful in their system

We would never trade Armstrong.

It's not a matter of wanting to commit so much as they don't have his Bird Rights and teams like the Pistons/Raptors can offer him more to be their 6th man or potentially start for them.

They will lose him in the offseason, the question is to which team.

Yea ino he's a UFA, I'm looking at it from our POV, I don't think we really operate below the cap. A SnT may give us more options, but I may be mistaken on that too

They're more or less the same for us cap-wise if he's getting $17-20M or so; you might get a small trade exception out of that move but otherwise it's to the Kings benefit rather than helpful for us when we can just decline his option to free up that cap space.

The exception to this is if we get a high lottery pick (the 1st overall pick makes...I think $13M if they go with the max rookie scale contract?) where that small exception could be slightly more valuable for some cap flexibility going in to the next season. A lot of the current cap space projections ignore how much the 6th overall or 1st-4th pick would take up.

 'Nova guys are hilarious. But what would it take to get Mikal? How about the Top 6 pick plus Brown and Boucher for Bridges plus

Spoiler:
Dennis Schroeder

May have to add the Detroit pick.

If the Nets wouldn't take back their picks plus Green from the Rockets, they sure aren't taking out picks in this weak draft for him.

What is the general off-season gameplan in Toronto?

We'll have a better idea when we see if the Raptors keep their pick - and if so, where it ends up.

Getting Sarr, for example, probably means they won't try to sign Claxton in the offseason.
