That’s too bad for IQ. I was hoping he was with RJ.

Sad times for Raptors

What is happening with our team :(

Thankfully we are ass so these guys can actually spend time with their families.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

I thought he was with RJ too

Respectfully, I could really use him back for my Fantasy Basketball playoffs this week!

Thank God these are old posts. I prefer him having went to a party than partying after his uncle just passed.

Very excited about this guy. I think there is more room to improve as well.

The issue with Quick is how him and Scottie pair together.

When Scottie was on the floor with him it seemed like a bit of confusion out there.

I’m wondering if they can co exist.

They were both differing and didn’t want to get in each other’s way. Also doesn’t help that Scottie is awful at setting screens, so it was hard to get the 2 man game going.

IQ just needs to know we need him to be a scorer first. Scottie + Poeltl + Kelly will distribute plenty of shots to the rest of the guys while IQ goes out there and gets his like how Denver uses Jamal Murray.

IQ is just figuring out the balance between playmaking and scoring. They both compliment each other’s games so well that it will work.

IQ has made incredible improvements in his point guard play in the short time that he's been a Raptor. Part of that is scheme and role, of course, but you can see him becoming more comfortable with that role every game.

Just look at his AST% numbers from this year: 16% with the Knicks, 29.2% with the Raptors.

A full year of this next year where he keeps learning and improving, and where he and Scottie learn how to complement each other's games, and we'll really have an excellent core of those two guys to continue to build around (and players like RJ and Gradey are a good start).

Dude they played like 10 games together.

Quickley is a great fit next to Scottie because he's an excellent outside shooter and can spread the floor.

When they did play together, SB was deferred to IQ because IQ was just to begin learning how to be a lead guard.

With Scottie's skillset, you need guys that can apply pressure on the dribble and also shoot. RJ and IQ have the potential to fit well, but TBD on whether their talent level is enough to be part of a core that wins 50+ games.

It seems as though the offense has run a little smoother with Scottie out & Quick playing as the undisputed primary ball handler.

Quick & RJ have great chemistry. Trent as been balling. Dick has been playing his role well.

With Scottie (and Poeltl) out, the defense has taken a massive hit though.

It seems like Quick is one of these guys that needs the ball in his hands to be at his best. Scottie is very similar that way.

Hopefully they can figure it out.

Lineup staggering for sure will be used to get the most. Good thing is that this isn’t a new problem. Lebron/Wade, Luka/Kyrie, Durant/Westbrook, etc. I would like to see more pick and roll type action between the two of them but for whatever reason it hasn’t worked at all.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Yeah.....theoretically, Scottie should be able to set some nice screens with his large frame. He should also be a good target as a roller.
