Siakam doing nothing out there. one rebound, no dimes, no steals and no blocks halfway into the 3rd quarter.

I hope that the Raptors give the 7th pick to the Spurs and get a mid round pick from the Pacers and move forward in control of their 1st round picks going forward, as well as having the Pacers 2026 1st.

I hope the Raps keep a top 6 pick and select an immediate star (Sarr?, Risacher?).

I hope they grab a second high upside player with a Pacers lottery pick (Ware?, Salaun?).

I hope they grab a mid-round faller with the Detroit pick (Carter, Collier, Clingan, Filopowski).

Pick stars and high end starters in this draft and who cares about next year when we should try for the playin.

Gather all the young players in a closer age grouping. Peak at the same time. Win a chip.

Let's bet on that. I'll happily take your money. Is there a single draft in the last 40 yrs that produced 0 all stars?

The 2000 NBA Draft was the worst draft probably ever. That one produced 3 All-Stars but 2 of them were definitely not ever stars in Magloire and K-Mart. Michael Redd though I'll say was a star for 5-6 years.

K-Mart was a star. Third best player, and best front court player on a team that made multiple finals.

17 10 and stocks, all defense. He was like his eras Bam/JJJ. Very dependent on his athleticism, which went early Blake Griffin-esque.

That's pretty generous giving him the star label. He had that type of production for like maybe 2 seasons before becoming a 12 and 6 guy.

What happens if he doesn’t wreck his leg twice?

The 16th overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, Sengun is averaging 21 points, 9.3 rebounds and 5 assists on 53% shooting. He's one of five players with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists this season, along with Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo, Dallas' Luka Doncic, Sacramento's Domantas Sabonis and Denver's Nikola Jokic.

Sengun scored a career-high 45 points against the San Antonio Spurs last week, becoming the fifth player all-time with 45 points, 15 rebounds and 5 steals in a game.

We need to find our own Sengun type player with the Indy pick. Or our own pick if we manage to hang on to it.

Now just realized none of them are American. Might the fear and stigma of Milicic and Tskitishvili still be a thing hence why these guys perform much greater than their draft position?

Return to Toronto Raptors
