Jrue just got paid. Celtics roster is going to cost $150M+ just for 4 of the starters (Brown, Tatum, KP & Jrue). And they still need to pay White.

Wasn't Jrue just talking about retiring a year ago? Like this would be his last year? When he was still a Buck I mean.

He sure was. I think he was trying to goad Milwaukee into giving him an extension. I'm kind of not sure why the Celtics did it to be honest.

Shocked at the Jrue deal but Celtics are all in and I think they are going to win it this year. They are an incredible team.

Kings going to lose Monk

Most they can offer is $17m unless they clear cap space. They are currently $10m over cap so they have to clear $27m to get what they can currently offer.

I think he’s gone. Any team in need of scoring and shooting with cap space going to have him at the top of the list.

J Williams (OKC): 31.8 MIN, 19.4 PPG, 4.0 REB, 4.6 AST, 1.1 STL, 0.6 BLK, .539 FG, .432 3PT, .813 FT, .622 TS, 24.0 USG

Another comparison, which I'm sure everyone saw since it was on last night's broadcast, is RJ's numbers as a Raptor and Siakam's numbers as a Pacer. They are nearly identical.
The eye test tells me RJ has been a lot more efficient during his time here. 3pt shooting aside, he can bully his way to the rim using his strength whereas Siakam has to use his footwork and slither around. Easier to game plan for Siakam in the post season than it is for RJ.

We need to trade Siakam for AJ Griffen before it's too late! - PhilBlackson

Not a whole lot of options for him. Philly got Hield to fill the role. Detroit might make a move for him, and I think Orlando can open up enough cap for him if they want to go out and get a shooter. Of course, we can also open up room if we want but I doubt we operate under the cap this off-season. Am I missing anyone else?

I gotta say NBA TV Canada is def not a great channel by any means but NBA 360 is a damn good watch for a basketball fan. Like Court Surfing back in the day.

I assume Randy is doing the commentary and production all from his house loll.

I think we should be offering him what we were going to offer Gary. Hadn’t considered Orlando but he’d fit in well there.

Makes me sick anytime I watch Wemby that we didn’t at least try and tank last year the way we did this one and we were even lower in the standings earlier last year.

The media keeps trying to push the spotlight on AntMan and Shai (and worst Tatum) who are absolute studs but the league will really belong to Vic & Luka.

Yes and the Canada version is much better than the US one hosted by Jared Greenberg (I think). The American one leaves 3-4 games on split screen far too long. Randy does a better job of going to one game at a time full screen then switching during timeouts

Alien and Luka are both generational so I agree 100%. Ant Man is too. Shai and Tatum don’t pop the same way in terms of highlight reel moments, but they both are the engines that drive their teams. The league needs a constellation of stars, so marketing the guys who are in smaller markets makes a world of sense (Shai, Antman). It’s what I (we?) wished they would’ve done more of for the Raps around Bosh and heck even Vince!

From undrafted, going on 2 way, to getting this deal after a decent rookie season. There are cheap opportunities available if the team pursues them.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Wemby rookie stats, we didn’t even try to tank for this guy because we wanted to build around Fred Vanvleet and Siakam. :banghead:

What I love about him is that competitive edge and instinct. He wants to rip your guts out if it means he wins. Sadly not all number 1 picks have that but at Wemby's age...to have that fire...it's huge. He is extremely competitive. He not only knows he's good...he needs to let you know about as well.

Total and complete opposite of our own former #1 overall pick who was content appearing in pasta commercials.

What a playoffs it's shaping up to be. 2 teams I got my eye on are the mavs and the Knicks. Kyrie Luka are goat level offensive duo, they have legit bigs and are the hottest team in the league i believe since the trade deadline. Knicks have excellent defense and Brunson is legit. Will be interesting to see how OG does in the playoffs

Looking forward to these playoffs. West is going to be insane. That’s one reason why I think the Celtics are going to win. They should have a pretty easy path to the finals.

Knicks defense is excellent but not sure they have enough offensive firepower to beat the elite teams.

Return to Toronto Raptors
