He’s great for the tank. Let’s keep him for a couple more years.

It's a rebuilding team..

You could have Spoelstra as the coach and the team would still lose games like this...

I will never understand how we can blame a rookie coach in this situation

Half the team turnover
His best players trade off

The team is rebuilding

San Antonio has a great coach . Their record is worse than us. No one is blaming Popovic.

At some point, it will be the coach to blame but 2/3 of a pivotal rebuild season is not IMHO.

Yeah, he seems like a decent hire now in that a coach who can develop young players and take on a ton of losses and didn't cost much makes sense. Then you probably fire him in 2027 or so and replace him with someone as sharp as Nurse when the team is ready to be good with Barnes and 2/3 top 10 picks around.
Where's the D?

That's slanderous towards a pretty good coach.

Misread this. Yeah Spo would lose with these guys too. And it would be a okay with the heat front office if the teams were switched as well.

Im not sure how he is behind closed doors or the things hes teaching, but i hope hes a good developmental coach and hes instilling good habits.. I dont mind the losses as long as they're constructive

You'd actually rather be the Heat?

I mean...I guess they have Bam who is young ish but otherwise that's going be a very ugly team in the next year or 2..

the team was looking decent post-OG pre-Siakam trade.....Darko is a bottom 10 coach but after the Siakam trade I can't put all the blame on him.

They’ll just sign a superstar. Its the Miami Heat.

Take away the Lebron/Wade/Bosh era... What superstar have they attracted? You have Jimmy but beyond that? They are going to be a pretty awful team in the near future.

I'm living in the realistic world, knowing how the Raptors and MLSE operate....next season I could see them firing him, this season nope.

Return to Toronto Raptors
