Kling-kong is an all-time knick name! That alone should bump him up a couple spots lol.

Alabama just had no answer for Clingan inside.

Despite the loss Sears has put himself into the 1st round picture now imo. He did everything he could but it just wasn't enough. 24pts 5reb 3ast (3-6 from three, 9-14 overall) despite being guarded all game by an elite perimeter defender.

I think the dream of getting Castle at 6 might be starting to vanish. He could easily go top 3 to the right team.

I dunno. He doesn't have a jumper, shoots FTs at a lower rate (.560) than Jak did at Utah (.660), and is so much bigger than everyone else on the floor in college.

Let's see what happens Monday.

Agreed. Let's see how he looks matched up with Edey first. There aren't many guys in the NCAA with enough size to actually guard either.

With that said, our future has more hope that the other darkest years which is what a lot of you seem to be holding onto. I’m not talking about next season or anything past this years lottery.

Oh geez, darkest in our history? that’s ridiculous- you must be a teenager or an amnesiac.

Yes, I’m a teenager who was cognitive for the 1995 season. Your math ain’t mathing Bubba. I’m entitled to my opinion just like you are. If this is the worst season I’ve experienced it has no effect on you and voicing an opinion different than mine means absolutely nothing to me.

I'd love to take credit but I got the comp from the Ringer and USA Today, my personal comp was Vanvleet.

You're welcome to disagree, but it still wouldn't be accurate

It is, actually. Your opinion holds zero value to me when I’m forming my own opinion.

He's literally just stating his opinion back. You get that right?

When I say there's no way this season is the darkest hour, and your statement is inaccurate. That is merely just me expressing my opinion too

We get that you believe that, and it's your right to share it. The vast majority of posters here do not share your opinion.

Losing the pick would certainly make the season overall suck more and it would push it to being the worst season for me overall. It might not be the franchise's "darkest hour" but it's pretty easy to argue for worst season if it ends up with smug Spurs fans bragging about it.

Like, all this losing, the injuries and you end up giving up a pick at, let's say 7 aka. the best possible pick the Spurs could have gotten? Yeah, that's not ideal, irrespective of this being a weak draft (aka. scouting is hard in these classes). I get we'd reacquire our pick control but in the immediate term, it doesn't help with the retool when you lose a potentially useful asset even in a weak draft i.e. use it to draft a player to pair with Scottie as part of his timeline or trade it by combining it plus Brown, Boucher, McDaniels' salary for X or Y player (Mitchell is potentially unhappy in Cleveland in his final year, as an example).

It's especially bad if the Pacers pick doesn't convey/is the reason we lose our pick (It's Top 3 protected).
