these mocks are all going to be wrong more than past. such a wide range of players for this draft that guys r gonna get picked all over moreso this year than others

This would be a very good way to leave this draft imo

Stuck between Buzelis and Holland. I think Buzelis has a Franz Wagner type impact but I wouldn’t be surprised if Holland is Jaylen Brown lite in 3 years

Between Holland, Buzelis, Cody Williams im currently leaning towards Holland

I do really like Castle though. I think he can have a Jrue Holiday type career. Wish there was a way to come out of the draft with both Holland and Castle

I'm a Cody Williams fan and I like Ryan Dunn too. I haven't done my hmk on De Silva yet. I do agree tho, I want some SFs

Would love a Buzelis/Collier draft. If Knecht drops to 17 tho, i'd take him and run.

going through this now and I see Buzelis at 10, not 6.

also, how is castle at 2? castle can't shoot and couldn't even shoot in high school.

The coolest thing with this is having #31 (hopefully it holds) and open up the 2nd round the next day

will probably be a ton of calls on it

Appealing names:

Alex Sarr
Jared McCain
Devin Carter—as an off-ball guard/secondary handler
Carlton Carrington—although he needs more seasoning
Nique Clifford

Bleacher Report er hem is projecting us taking Castle at 6 over available Topic, Cody Williams. ??? BR has us taking Kel'el Ware at 17. And a complete surprise at 31 that probably gets traded anyway if we keep the lotto pick. They have have Dillon Jones going 32nd. I would take him at 31 or 32 hands down especially if we so happen to convey our top pick. Any of the three of Castle, Topic, or Cody Williams plus Kel'el Ware and Dillon Jones would be a stellar haul.

I actually don't want Holland if that's the case. Just because he takes a lot of shots, I don't want to pay supermax to a #2 player. It's like not wanting to pay Pascal.

Castle could be more like Dwyane Wade being as they don't have the greatest outside shot but knows how to score with a nice crossover and runs downhill to the bucket but can take contact and finish.

Reed Sheppard has game, he's electric. Something is missing though. Aside from defense. I think it's that he doesn't get to the rim as an initiator. Off-the-catch, yes. In transition, yes. But not against set defenses. An in-between game is vital for lead guys. I want to believe but I'd personally have to watch a lot of tape on him.

Jared McCain has the higher floor.

If you go with Reed you really need a second ball handler that makes light work of getting to the rim. You also need stout defenders all-around.

Ultimately I think Reed Sheppard would've been excellent for Nurse's Raptors, while McCain is better for the current team.

Normally I am highly skeptical of 5th year seniors but N’Faly Dante looks interesting.

6’11, 7’5 wingspan, 9’5 standing reach

Fluid and athletic

5th year senior but still 22…23 in October

When you take the usual narrative about bigs taking longer to develop, he’s done that in a good program.

Solid 4.9 DBPM, 7.9 OBPM, 30.6 PER, 24.5 DReb%, 6.6 blk%, 3.2% stl

Played his best basketball when the games mattered most in tourney and pac-12 tourney mvp

Latest Wasserman mock for B/R

I disagree strongly on Salaun at 26 but he’s really sticking to his guns on that lol

He might go late 2nd or undrafted and then worth a camp invite. Though he might try and hitch onto a team with vacancies at C like New Orleans, Washington, etc. I guess they'd see after the draft.

I think he might be like Bebe Noguiera with more focus?

Then we roll the dice and reach for Salaun with the Pacers pick. He needs more seasoning but he could top out at Blake Griffin 2.0. If he grows then Giannis with a 3pt shot.

Well this mock regarding the Raptors is what I've been thinking lately. Castle, Ware and Simpson. Maybe Olynyk plays some PF but maybe in a year if Ware pans out trade Poeltl.

PG IQ - Castle/Simpson
SG Dick - Castle - JFL
SF Barrett - Ochai - Dick
PF Barnes - Barrett/Boucher - Olynyk
C Poeltl - Olynyk - Ware

Salaun isn't a great shooter although that is being advertised as his most NBA ready skill. This draft is going to be full of scrubs and busts. I would play it safe with Sheppard and other high floor older prospects like Holmes. We need a back up point guard and a big man with gravity on his rolls.
