Best Blocks in Franchise History

Post#1 » by Duffman100 » Wed Mar 27, 2024 6:44 pm

The Ochai block on Kispert the other night was sick. Not 'best in franchise history' sick, but it was pretty good.

https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2024/03/23/0022301022/98/177d92b9-123f-ae73-1784-65f1e3591ba0_1280x720.mp4

Got me thinking, what are some of the best blocks in franchise history? Keon, Biyombo, Bosh... gotta be some great ones.

(also how do I just embed an mp4 in these posts, you'd think I'd know that).

I remember Keon Clark had a lot of great ones for us. Only if that dude loved basketball the way he loved golf man lol.

That one block from Biyombo on Lebron got him paid 4/72 lol.

I remember that happening and the first thought in my head was "Oh...this is like the Alomar / Carter trade, we're legit".

Vince, game saving block against Atlanta, just before The Trade. Might be the highest we ever saw him jump.

Found this on youtube, not the greatest blocks but man Keon's wingspan and hops was insane, 12 blocks that game. Keon and AD was a pretty insane interior D combo, both highly mobile on the help defense, too bad it was short lived.

I agree with the Biyombo attempted block on Lebron in game 4 of the ECF.

Just a crazy moment, our team finally reaches the conference finals against the super team Cavaliers when people thought we had no chance and we push them to a pivotal game 5. We didn't win but we took one of the greatest teams of all-time, who beat the 73 win Warriors, to 6 games. I loved that 2016 squad.

Keon Clark had a lot of good ones, along with dunks. He was one of my favourite players as a kid.

not recorded as a block and can't find any clips but I always found Kyle Lowry's ability to sprint back on defense and jump straight up to use verticality to prevent an easy dunk/layup really impressive

Glad to see so many Keon Clark references, he was also a huge favourite of mine growing up. I still remember going to basketball practice after that 12 block game and having everyone try their best to block everything into the 2nd row all night.

I have a memory of a Keon dunk where it seemed like he was still several ft away from the basket, jumping straight up, but his arm extended and he was able to throw it down still.
