How does the rules for our San Antonio pick work?

Post#1 » by Ssj16 » Thu Mar 28, 2024 4:44 pm

If our pick this year falls to 6 or less we get to keep it but in the scenario where it falls to 7 or higher and San Antonio keeps it, do our choice for their pick get deferred to next year?

Our draft pick is only top 6 protected for 2024, 2025 and 2026. If it doesn't convey it becomes 2 second round picks in the following draft. Essentially depending on the lottery we could keep our pick this year and next year's draft we'd be in the same position until the pick conveys to the Spurs or becomes 2 seconds.

The way it works is, the league will make sure the Spurs get the pick.

The rules got amended. We don’t owe anyone anything anymore.

ITS A NEW WORLD ORDER.

We are gonna invade their arena and spray nWo on coach Pop’s chest.

If we don't hit a home run on this pick, we get to have this discussion again next year.

If we do draft a good player, we can't trade the pick. Because it's SA's. The twist is that we could draft another C.

Edit: no its definitely 3.

Meanwhile Siakam gets traded for a pick in the #17 range. Thats atrocious GM work right there.

We traded a top 7 pick for Poeltl and received a 20ish pick for Siakam. Our front office is arrogant and delusional.

Chandan, Ontnut, MessiahUjiri and DelAbbot thanks for making this useless thread legendary in just a few posts.
