2019-20 Run-it-Back (minus Kawhi) Year was really fun and we were winning consistently. I'm still really upset that COVID-19 disrupted the entire season because we didn't get a full season to celebrate our championship (you know, all the marketing, pre-game pyrotechnics, starting line-up intros with the Larry OB, etc.). That was our 25th anniversary year as well and there was so much more planned that season.

My favourite teams, in order, are 2020, 2019, 2001, 2013.

I just loved the effort and purpose and that’s why the post championship team was my favourite. Until Covid, those guys wanted to prove they were more than just Kawhi and give a big middle finger to the ‘asterisk’ crowd. 2019 was our most talented team, 2001 was an exciting team and 2013 was another hard working and fun team after the Rudy trade.

Is there a poll coming for most disliked team? If not I’ll just volunteer that belongs to last year’s FVV led team where it genuinely looked like everyone hated each other. Throw in the new guy who came in on a trade nobody wanted and it was an unlikable team top to bottom.

The 06-07 team, never witnessed a Raptors team gel like that, especially after such a horrible start, it truly was a cinderalla season. Their ball movement was incredible and BBIQ was very high, and they were super fun to watch with a high octane offense and 2 styles of play they could interchange on situation because of TJ and Jose, they had so many buzzer beaters that year and each time was someone different and in spectacular fashion (Bosh, TJ, Bargs, Mopete's amazing buzzer beater). If that team gelled sooner and Garbo and Parker didnt go down at the end, it would have been a mid to high 50 win team. They played way above the sum of its parts. Its funny, because I remember the team was criticized for being a jump shooting perimeter offense team (pretty much every player could shoot far mid range jumpers or 3s), they were ahead of their time.

2000/2001. The playoff series with the Sixers was epic. Iverson and Vince battling was incredible.

06-07 team solidified me as a Raptors fan. I started to REALLY follow the team, and learn more about basketball stats and take deeper dives into the sport. The way they played unselfish team ball and tried hard every possession showed me how great basketball could be as a sport.

My other favourite was the 17-18 bench mob era, where in every game we knew that if the starters could keep the game tied or close, the bench would come in and go +10 on the other team's bench and get us back the lead. Lowry+bench units were just OP. Like, we really had Delon, Fred, Norm, CJ, Pascal and Poeltl coming off the bench. That's 2 future allstars, a 6moty candidate, a bonafide starter and two solid bench pieces...OFF THE BENCH. Boy were we lucky to have watched those years.

Peak Lowry era. Consistent hard nosed teams that never got blown out or failed to come back in games.

2020 - I really think without COVID there is a legit chance we are in the finals again.

Other than that, whichever year the bench mob really came together.

And then special shoutout to 2007? Whatever year we had Bosh/Bargs/Calderon. I used to do fantasy drafts on 2k and would reset every time I could not get Bosh on my team
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

13/14 - Start of the winning era. A team everyone thought would be gutted.

95/96 - the start of everything. Overachieved given the harsh rules the NBA imposed on the expansion teams. Had the ROY, they took down the Bulls and Vincenzo Esposiiiiiiito.

99/00 - Tmac/Vince was just so much fun.

2019-20 season was amazing. Incredible team to watch. Highly skilled, deep team and they played the right way.

As others have mentioned, the start of the Lowry/Demar era was fun.

double post, my mistake.

Tmac leaving was so disappointing. Wish he had stuck around and been the Scottie and eventually the Jordan to Vince.
I believe in Masai.

drove to NYC for game 5 of round 1 that year. Literally sat at the top row of MSG.

That Raps team was the most fun (outside of 2019)

Do you have the feeling that when yt first came out and was full of 360p and it looked fine, but now 360p is unwatchable? Are our eyesights going down with age or did 360p change?

Interesting post. Reminds me that I loved a lot of these teams. Has to be post VC though, because as much as I loved the Oakley, VC, Davis, Alvin etc etc years, seems like none of those guys actually wanted to be in Toronto. I'm going to say the 2017/18 team with Demar, Kyle, OG, Pascal, Fred, Norm, BRUNO! Won a ton of games, good bunch of guys.

A lot of people were in the transition period as well from CRT monitors to flat screen. So these old videos may have looked a little more normal to us back then. At my old office, we were still using CRTs and I remember watching this video on it. Of course it doesnt age well now.
