i guess as a second stringer he'd be alright, but still... he'd probably come in here wanting to be MJ.

BC signing dodged the Marbury bullet once and I can't see him going down that road again.

This story about Marbury "being bought out or sent home" has been written and spouted for over a month.

The Knicks board has been praying for this move for some time.

Let's wait and see what they do. Walsh is not going to do anything that hurts the Knicks just to appease Marbury. They only trade him for picks and expirings and the buyout is a touchy subject with both parties it seems.

I would rather any other player than this guy. I think Marbury alone could run Bosh out of town in 2010. Let's try for JR Smith or anyone else.

PS: He has a tattoo of a shoe company on his f'ing head!!!

with calderon playing heavy starter minutes, he'd have to get some of his minutes as a sg .

i still wouldn't do it, he's a cancer on every level. bosh is as good as gone if we get marbury

Personally, i say you pick him up OFF WAIVERS. Here me out:

Instead of giving him a small contract, you TAKE ON his contract. Whether small or big, our team is going into luxury tax world if Marbury comes on board. But if were going to do that why dont we take him at his contract and then FLIP him and a pick for a serious wing players? That way we keep JO, Calderon, and a wing player long term and only have to sign Bosh....Jo resigns a little cheaper and presto...were dirty

That's genius.

$45M dollar cost for Marbury.

That's how you run a business.

MLSE would love that idea.

You can't justify to go heavily in luxury tax territory for Marbury, not for his huge salary, not this team, not for MLSE. IMO, The only ideal scenario would be a buyout from NY and convince him to sign here for 1yr or 2 minimum vet contract. Even that might put us over which means other moves would have to be orchestrated. See, It's long shat ! But we're a team that loves long SHATS.
If it works out though, I wouldn't mind him playing alongside Jose or even running the point from time to time. We do not have a single player on the wing or perimeter that can create his own shot.. That alone is worth taking a look at this guy despite all the fear of his cancer & all that none sense.

I have to admit, I kind of want to see it happen now just for humor.

This WING PLAYER doesn't exist even if this idea wasn't hysterical.

There is no way Marbury would sign with us. He has way better options and other teams are probably willing to pay more.

Would be interested to see him going to GS. They would have 5 chuckers. Ellis, Jackson, Marbs, Crawford and Corey.

Don't you think the Knicks would've traded Marbury and a pick if that package would've netted them a good player?
