If Bosh really did have a say in getting rid of O'Neal ( due to JO overshadowing ) CB4 MVP quest,

i don't know about the "overshadowing part", and I know some hate when I mention Twitter, but the "alleged cb4_admin" was making posts about how JO had quit on the team and that BC needs to pull the trigger, in early January. I don't know if that's any indication of how Bosh felt or not. On a positive note he also was saying Bargs had heart, around that time too.

I think there may have been a rift between JO and Bosh as I think JO's last statement about the fans at the ACC being one of the best in the league, before the San Antonio game, and like a day or two before the trade went down, was a little bit of a parting shot at Bosh, imo.

Hate to break it to everyone, but Bargnani is already better than Bosh is. He can post up, go to the three, drive to the rack, pass better, dribble better, better hands on the catch and furthermore he attempts far fewer of the games "least effective shot" the mid range jumper - neither a high percentage, nor a more valuable shot.

Bargnani does have a greater skill set than Bosh, but he is also a slow learner and taking a longer time to develop. Outside of getting a bit stronger both mentally and physically, I believe Bosh is close to the peak (as good as he is going to get). He has regressed this season after a strong start. We already know his game; jump shot on the outside, or drive the ball down. He is not really a post up player, and his defense needs a lot of work (I guess that is one place he can grow). Offensively, what else do you guys thing he can develop into?

Bargnani's has shown his skills, can shoot, post up a bit better this season, also has better post defense. He just looks 'lost' out there in his first few seasons but seems he is getting more comfortable, and look at his recent numbers as he is finally fitting in. not too bad. Now this is a league of 'what have you done for me lately' and with Bosh sulking (or fatigued I don't know), I frankly don't care if Bosh is not a Raptor after 2010 so long as we get value for him. Bosh is a Tier 3 All-star at best (doubt he will make NBA 1st and 2nd team ever) and he is not our Vince Carter from the past. Losing him will be a lot less painful. Like another poster said, there is always one player a team can build around.

I don't understand what you're arguing here. Are you saying that Andrea is indeed a better player than Bosh today?

I am aware of what Andrea's skills and potential are. That's not the point here. Bosh is a wildly more productive player. I fail to comprehend how an average objective basketball fan can watch both players and come to the conclusion that Bargnani might be better right now.

for me it felt like it was becoming JO's team, he was becoming the leader on the court and clearly had players starting to follow him (bargnani/Joey) I also think this bothered Bosh and the whole we aren't fitting on the court stuff just didn't tell the whole story. There were to many injuries to really give it a fair chance but in the end I think it was given up on a little to easily because there was other stuff going on.

either way, I definetely miss JO and loved what he brought to the team but Marion is also a great fit with Bosh/Bargnani and provides a more balanced line up. This way there is no question who should start or finish games and the team can have their best players on the floor.
