Wiretap: Phil Jackson, Bynum not on speaking terms

Wiretap wrote:Lakers center Andrew Bynum wants more playing time, but coach Phil Jackson won't budge.

Jackson wants to see Bynum play better defense, and the rift has led both men to give the other the silent treatment, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Could this mean that Bynum could possibly be traded in the offseason? If so, could that have Raptor (read: Chris Bosh) implications?

Bynum for Bosh? is that a joke? Talk about a big man with knee problems...

Even having Andrew Bynum's name in the conversation can change the dialogue of the trade environment dramatically. I don't think Bynum would be a terrible fall-back option, if he was packaged with Ariza or Odom.

Some of these guys need reality checks. Bynum is 21 years old and has accomplished nothing while Phil Jackson is a legend. Bynum needs to listen to every word Phil tells him and show some respect.

I would list Bynum on that thread you have about overrated players.

You can bet LA regrets that huge extension

Sure, they'll trade him if they find someone to overspend.....

I really like Bynum when healthy (keyword).

I'de def consider a package centered around the 2. Bynum, and Bargnani have the potential to really be a nice insied outside tandem. With rebounding, and man to man D/ Team D that compliment each other well.

I do wonder if LA would really be interested in a PF for Bynum though. Last years finals kind of exposed that they need a true C beside Gasol when playing teams with a true big. Bosh/Gasol/Odom is still 3 PF's.

I'm pretty sure that Gasol and Bosh would be fine. Gasol and Odom worked well enough to get them to the finals. I'm sure that Bosh and Gasol would be even better.

I'd S&T Marion for him. Not Bosh.

Lol, when phil and bynum aren't on speaking terms, it's all cool here, but when mitchell and bargnani aren't speaking... FIRE SAM.

Bynums contract is horrible. Bynum+Ariza for Bosh? LOL. I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole. He'll fit Detroit perfectly though.

Lol, when Sam Mitchell wins multiple championships, we can talk about similarities.

I wouldnt give up Bosh for Bynum. Bynum is pretty mediocre and very injury prone. I would definitely give up Bargs for Bynum though. Doubt LA does that deal though

You guys are making mountains out of molehills. Jackson is just breaking Bynum's bad habits. It's the growing pains of an immature player.

LA can't put together a package for Bosh. Bynum alone isn't nearly enough to entice us. Their pick is worthless. They can package Odom in a deal but he's no star and he's 29. Nothing else they can really offer, unless they want to give us Gasol and Bynum.

Bynum's so overrated, it isn't even funny.

That being said, there are still teams who want him - the Lakers better turn him into a few solid players. Maybe something like Gay, Conley and Gasol for Bynum, a 1st, and Farmar or Vujacic. Then let Lamar walk and use the cap space on Sheed and Big Baby.

Fisher/Conley
Kobe/Brown/Morrison
Gay/Ariza/Walton
Gasol/Big Baby
Sheed/Gasol/Mbenga

Great first post. I'm sure LA jumps all over that.
