I'm not a big fan of Ukic. If he's unhappy I'd be more than willing to seek a trade.

disapointing that his game didn't improve leaving him a europe for a few years. another wasted pick by babcock. whatever, i was one of those who thought he would never play a game in toronto, especially after a new gm came in.

lolwut wrote:I really don't get why so many Raptor fans think Ukic is horrible. He's a rookie who has shown flashes of brilliance. He has a great combination of handles and speed. In fact, he has been the only Raptor in the past few seasons who could drive by any defender put on him and break down defenses from a guard position. That in itself is a breath of fresh air from Calderon's halfcourt grind-it-out style.

Did you gets expect him to be an all-star caliber PG in this first season?

If you check the posts from the time he was drafted to eright before he started playing here - yes a lot of posters did.

This "article" is about as reliable as if it were posted in the Onion. He has promise, but still needs to show consistency and develop a reliable shot.

That's funny, you seem to have sympathy for TJ Ford. Almost as big of a pouter as Vince.

24 Years old.
72 NBA Games
890 Minutes Played

Has demonstrated an ability to penetrate, and create for himself. Has excellent speed, and has shown that he still has upside.

Why must we always eat our young on this board???

I remember Roko stating at the beginning of the season that he has no problems playing limited minutes and knows of a few PG that started off as third strings in their 1st few seasons and then became starters.
Hate how everyone starts jumping all over the kid when nothing of substance has been made.

+1

guys, we havent heard from Roko so we shouldnt be taking this literally. you guys should know better about media exaggerating stuff.

as for Roko, he just needs more playing time to develop. I believe Euro players like Bargs and Roko need more playing time to develop. See what happened to Bargs. We need to play Roko more. I love this guys's game. He has flaws but I'm willing to play him though it might cost us some games. His potential and talent is worth it. I just hope he works more on his shot and ability to control the tempo of the game.

ive been a loko roko fan for a few years, has the tools and the energy and heart to make it in this league just needs the time. I think i'm the only one other then his mother or family to wear the roko jersery. I had to have it custom made and the people at the games had no idea what number or who he was, you cant teach size, confidence and balls...he has all of them now just needs to get the skills to match his mind.

People here are bipolar. Early in the season, everyone wanted Solomon benched so that Roko could play. Now they want him shipped out because a 6'5" point guard with tremendous handles and speed is lacking a jumpshot.

And then they turn around and rag on Calderon for settling for jumpshots. Go figure...

I'm referring to the general opinion of him on this board. I get the feeling that most people want him traded right now.

this board likes to run their mouth before giving the guy a chance. it was his rookie year by the way. i think he did pretty good for a rookie.
