Couldn't agree more. Cuban wanted a big name guy to feed his ego and they made the terrible Kidd/Harris deal. I truly don't understand this signing, that team really needs a MAJOR shakeup.

This makes me feel a little better about our Hedo signing.

So Kidd will be 39 when he's done, what a career. I think he'll be able to produce even at that age with his savvy.

We're talking about basketball, not lawnbowling.

I think I'd rather retire after pocketing the 25MIL.

Big bucks for sure. And probably worth tainting your legacy for....

Over the next 3 years JKidd is guaranteed to see ---

1) His game continue to decline and at a much quicker pace.
2) Losing, lots of losing, as the Mavs are hollow.
3) Fans will turn on him and scapegoat him with "overpaid" status.

Anyway, obviously Mark feels this is the only way to justify the (Please Use More Appropriate Word) Devin Harris trade in his mind. Nothing like compounding your intial mistake with another...

His game has hardly declined. He's been the same effective, crafty player since he came back from the micro fracture surgery. Besides, is he going to lose more athleticism or something? He had little to begin with and his knees are shot. I don't see why a 39-year old Jason Kidd can't be as effective as 37-year old Kidd.

Though they did overpay, and it's a year too long for a team that's not a contender and will need to rebuild soon. It is Cuban though, money is not an issue for him.
