Triano's Offensive Sets

Post#1 » by Korr » Thu Oct 29, 2009 12:24 am

They are beautiful. Pretty evident that these guys have been working hard in practice getting these.

So, for those of you ridiculing me and other posters who were defending Triano for saving his sets until the real season starts: come out now you pansies

I'm far more impressed with his defensive schemes. Considering we are small, slow, and generally weak, the defense has been top notch.

it's a work in progress but that play call out of the timeout in the 4th where bosh missed that bank shot was a thing of beauty...

I really, really liked seeing Bosh and Bargnani alternate screens. Believe it or not but the Pick and Roll was our least effective play tonight. It was almost a decoy. Instead there was so much motion. I loved it.

We actually have plays, I counted 7-8 new plays and crisp ones to. It was so refreshing to watch!

We also have guys that can handle the ball. MArco, Hedo and jack can all create their own shot and that helps out tremendously when trying to set up plays.

I liked what I saw in terms of movement. Movement is a beautiful thing. Especially with Belinelli.

That screen and pop between Bargnani and Bosh at the free throw line is better than anything Mitchell ever came up with.

Amazing play considering you have two somewhat old school centers that are not used to going outside the paint.

The one thing you don't know about our team is...
At practice we play freeze tag

Yes! This was the one I wanted to come in here to mention. It's a cross screen and they actually used a variation of it last year. They'd do it on the elbows to allow Bosh to set up an iso without having to jostle his way all the way into the paint. Tonight though, it was beautiful. And people were worried about our offense, pfft.

Jay's Substitutions were awesome tonight.

Anyone notice how balanced the lineup was tonight. Although I really wish he had thrown Bargnani back in so he could get 30.
