Getting Martin would mean the Raptors are keeping Bosh?

Say you don't want this guy on our team - do it. You can blather all you want about him being the only scorer on those Kings squads or whatever, and how we need D and rebounding, but you better recognize what this guy has done. His injuries suck, but so do Jose's.

Yeah and most other SGs shut Kobe down...
Yeah imagine a 6 foot 5 SG not being able to stop Melo the best post up SF in the NBA. Most SGs shut MELO down that's why he's near the top of the NBA in scoring.

He's less undersized at the Sg than JACK. Martin at SG would put an end to CACK and that alone would be good for a couple extra wins.

Moving Calderon in a deal for Martin would really help Turk's game.

Turk looked a lot better when Calderon was out. Also we could try an offensive formation where Hedo initiates the offense. With Jack as the second ball handler.

Maybe something like Sergio and K-Mart for Jose, DD and Evans woudl be pretty good.

If you want to go all out on offense, you need players who can score. So it would make sense in a way. I'd assume Jose and Derozan would be gone.

But the issues with this team would still exist, and probably get worse. Bad defence where we seemingly can't stop anyone and games get out of hand.

Of course Melo is an SF and any SG has difficulty covering Kobe...

I really don't get the undersized two statement, apparently Wade is an undersized two. An undersized two is when PG's try to play two. Kevin Martin is far from undersized,

Acquiring Martin would inevitably end the time and effort to develop Derozan unless Hedo can be shipped as well. With wings consisting of Martin and Hedo, how much time can the team invest on Derozan? Derozan was drafted solely on his potential down the line but a lineup of Jack/Martin/Hedo/Bosh/Bargnani just screams of the "win-now" attitude.

I'm on the fence with this one since I don't know how Derozan will be like in the next 2-3 years, and it's not like Martin is on some elite level that Derozan could only hope to equal.
#Raptors are 7-1. In 6 of the past 10 seasons, a team that has started a season 7-1 has gone on to win an NBA championship.

Undersized? 6'7 is undersized now? He's not freaking Juan Dixon.

lol brilliant.

and how exactly does getting martin help turk get the ball in his hands more? the only way id want this is if we can get rid of hedo. martin is largely what hedo was supposed to be, except with worse passing, but more offence. which im fine with. in fact id be very happy about it. otherwise it just doesnt work and isnt worth the HUGE injury risk. without hedo hed be a great fit

Trade Calderon+DD for Martin+anything to make the salaries work...

Jack
Martin
Wright
Bosh
Bargnani

Hedo is 6th man off the bench and plays with a hardnosed defensive 2nd unit led by Banks, Johnson and Weems. Hedo would be great handling the ball for Banks while having alot of athletic slashers to work with.

Bosh - 25
Bargnani - 24
Martin - 27

Yes, that core can "win now" but it's not like it cant win later. Add in 20 year old derozan off the bench getting 20mpg at sg/sf and that's a good team for the future.

YES...Jose + DD for K-Mart...do it...

I like DD but if we get K-Mart, we can't really develop him...

OR Jose + Macro for K-Mart...
