We had a ton of chances to make a good advantage and we just keep turning the ball over time and time again... I hope this doesn't come to bite us in the ass.

Jazz always play up/down to the level of the team they are playing.

Hope they miss one at least...

How can we lose like this after beating the crap out of the Spurs and Portland? Come on...

This is the worst performance of the season. We would have been blown out by the Lakers if Millsap didn't go on an 8-0 run by himself. Really disappointed in Hayward. He's our leader on the court, but he really mailed it in tonight. Turned the ball over repeatedly and just complained to the refs all night.

Well, that was...unpleasant.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Free throws cost us the W again.

Also played too unselfish, gave up quite a few open looks from behind the three point line in favour of going inside to Gobert/Favors.

Well that was pretty pathetic :-(. We've lost atleast a handful of games due to free throws, and the turnovers definitely didn't help either.

That was a pathetic performance. It's depressing because I actually thought the Jazz had arrived.

We were up by 11 in the fourth and our announcers were saying, this will make three in a row and we should beat Denver for 4 in a row. I thought we had won. We played terrible from that point. I don't mind exciting games but I like us to win. I can't believe we lose to the Lakers after two great games against playoff teams. I guess that is why we have to play the game. I hope we are better against Denver.

Free throws were a killer, but the lack of mental toughness is more concerning. Quin is absolutely ripping the team for being weakminded in his press conference. Tomorrow's film session will not be fun for them.

Anyone see Millsap's postgame interview? Steve Brown was trying to compliment his game but Millsap just looked like he wanted to murder him

Just when you think your at the top of your game in over 3 years, it takes 1 game to kill all hope that maybe we are finally consistently solid and good.

I swear, how the hell do you lead the entire game, and then lose the lead with less than 5 minutes to play?? That is just insane, and shows big gaping holes in this Jazz team, when Lakers had their way with. Yeah everyone can get up for a Spurs or Cleveland game, cause yeah you want to beat a great team. But Jazz won't get off their lazy asses when its a dog team.

The shocking part is, a lot of role players had good games, like Gobert, Millsap and Hood:
1st: +8
2nd: -2
3rd: +3 <-This means we were up 9 points to go into 4th quarter, and we also lead that whole time, then BS
4th: -12 <-This is BS, outscored 31-19 in the 4th by a bunch of dogs, and the "Superstar" Clarkson

Gaping Holes:

-We hit clutch with about 5 minutes left, and Burke seriously passes ball to Hood, who then runs the ball from the top, and everyone expects him to make a play while covered. Why the ball isn't in Hayward's and Burke's hands for serious possessions is beyond me. Millsap was like the only one who just didn't "want" to be a leader.

-Our Point Guards will get doubled on Gobert PNR because Gobert can't/won't shoot an 8 footer, the higher the pick, the less they will cover him. Hence less penetration, which is key to a solid offense.

-Trey Burke has absolutely no defense what-so-ever, its like his body is there, but he isn't defending. Watching Millsap reminds me of what perimeter defense should be. Trey goes around every last PNR chase, and he never stays in front of his man, and when he catches up, his small frame and short reach are incapable of preventing or changing the players shot.

-Exum and Ingles back court is the worst offensive scoring back court probably in history. I don't care how earlier in development, or how raw, PG and SG's are scorers in NBA. Lakers won 3 games in last 2 months, now 4, and no name Ellington and Clarkson blow us out, for 37 points combined. Burke, Exum and Ingles combined for 10 points. Millsap, "only good for defense", put up 17.

-Gordon Hayward's ball handling skills are still lacking hardcore, I thought we got past the stumbling with the ball when in clutch, and turning it over on game winning shots like last year. 6 turnovers total, that isn't acceptable when playing in clutch.

-Worst of all, above all else, we are terrible Free Throw shooters, 60% as a team is bad. When teams know this, they foul, Scott had this won basically after they took a 3 point lead (which in Jazz terminology means "WE LOST"). Not even ahead by more than 2 possessions, Jazz couldn't catch up with several possessions. 12 lost points because our team overall can't shoot free throws, yet, Lakers the most dogg team has these no name players sinking all their free throws in clutch, hitting nothing but net.

Bottom line, Lakers are the ones who looked like they just beast Spurs and Blazers.

The Lakers are used to garbage time points scored in the last five minutes to make scores respectable - so comfortable that they score even in non-blowouts. ;)

Seriously though, they have been in 7 OT games this year and have won a higher percent than their record in those games. Their wins otherwise have been close.

We finish quarters poorly for some reason. Last night, that included the fourth.

Were we reading the clippings? (Papers/press about how good we were instead of could be.)

Still, just one game, no need to overreact. We're not a finished team, no one thought we would be now. Beat Denver and Milwaukee (>.500 team) and things will be ok.

Such a frustrating loss.

But I love the fact that I was emotionally affected by it. Last year I wouldn't have cared. I would've immediately thought about the lotto combinations.

Agree on both points. Hayward in particular needed to be more assertive.

Young teams have garbage games sometimes. They don't know how to find their focus as a group, they don't know that one or two or three things they can rely upon as a team to build confidence in a game.

I love winning, hate losing and especially hate losing on purpose. But what we are doing now is learning how to win. That will include a rather large number of clunkers. Don't be hating on players, it's not time yet to really be clutch since none of the games they play actually are clutch.

Bad game. Hayward having second bad shooting night. And i am having trouble to find anyone who can take last second shots in late clock situation. We lost cause turnovered so much. And Jordan Hill is such a good player. I wish him as a back up for the Jazz, don't understand why he plays 20 mins per game?

No problem, JaZz will be ready.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I felt like I feel when my NFL or the Utes football team lose. Last year and during the 9 game losing streak I was resigned to losing, just wanting to see a fight for the win.

I've never seen Jordan Hill do anything but shoot those 15-20 foot jumpers. The Jazz bigs gave him way too much space last night, they should have made him put the ball on the floor.
