KOC had this comment when asked if the Jazz would re-sign Fess:

"He's next on the agenda," O'Connor said of the restricted free agent. "(We'll) go from there, see what happens, see if Portland has any more money left."

Clearly, the Jazz front office is pissed at the games the Blazers are playing against the Jazz. Definitely a rivarly exists between these organizations. Im a Utah Jazz fan number one and a Lakers and Blazers hater number 2!!!

Agreed. Sounds more like a joke to me. That being said, I'm sure he doesn't get the warmest of fuzzy feelings in his chest when he thinks about Portland. I hope they offer Fes 9 million this year!! And then next year we can steal all of their free agents.

Do you really know the Blazers? There is no way Matthews will only get that much. Matthews is basically replacing Rudy Fernandez. You see, Rudy was Roy's backup. But he didn't get 10 minutes a game? In fact he's averaging 24.5 a game in his career. That would mean there will be times that Matthews will be in the game at the same time as Roy just like Rudy was.

Matthews is basically going to be Roy and Batum's backup.

Great pick up for us. I do not believe we overpaid for Matthews as im sure others will find out too. He will get 30 minutes a game plus on blowouts and games where we lead by 10 we will have the confidence in him to let Brandon rest while Matthews handles business.
